This is a little AMV Hell-esque project that a few friends and I have been working on for a bit over a year, now. I'd warn you that some parts aren't exactly for the faint of heart, but I doubt that most of this site's users are sensitive enough to warrant a proper warning about that.

I'll admit that some parts are painfully half-assed, but I've been sitting on this thing for so long, I just got tired of spending time perfecting it. I'll release a more polished version at a later time.

I'd like to give a special thanks to Mattroks101 for giving me the title and idea to make this video in the first place and I also thank N.P.C.C., Bonehimer, Havrd, and ThatsNotMyName_studio for being my primary screeners for this project.

- In the skating clip, shouldn't you have had both the twins singing side to side?

- You should have shoe horned audio of hank and peggy's disgust at what they are seeing. As close minded as Hank is, he wouldn't have kept silent THAT long.

Shrugs, for me the worst was decapitating those kids, exploding heads and brains (usually it's show nudity, censor graphic violence, I see you're the other way around XD) and I guess the tentacle rape thing, but on the whole...it's "ok", alot of audio that's been used before.

Also if you're going to mock AMV Mini clips, at least have ones' that are worse than the ones' in your collection :P

After looking over this video again, I see that Vegas is to blame for a few of the issues, here. Some clips randomly seem to go into reverse for a split second, the lipsyncing was thrown off in the last part of that Minis clip, and the "America, **** Yeah!" clip just froze itself for no reason during that 3rd scene. Everything else was pretty much my fault and the result of earlier laziness.

I submitted that one to AMV Hell 6, but I have no idea whether it was accepted or rejected. Figured it hardly mattered either way if this was premiering before that, though. That, along with some other factors actually influenced my decision to hold off scrubbing this thing for a few more weeks and just release it.

What editing software did you use to do the overlay on the rollskating clip?
Sony Vegas Pro 10. That's what I used for every clip. I'm pretty sure everyone who worked on this used some variation of Sony Vegas.

Isn't that a bit excessive? Personally, I couldn't give it more than a 7/10 in its current state, with all of the macroblocking, interlacing and ghosting, and that's being generous.

Video quality issues. Macroblocking is just a fancy word for all of those weird, fuzzy shapes in the background, interlacing is just another word for lines running through the picture, and ghosting refers to those semi-transparent fades between each frame and shot.

Seeing as how Dragon Ball Z is so overused in general, I didn't really want to use it or any of those other incredibly popular anime in this. The more well-known a show is, the more likely idiotic fanboys will like the joke no matter how stupid it is, just because it uses their favorite show. In fact, using Pokemon was sort of pushing it, in my opinion. Of course, I usually don't see people using the Pokemon Advanced season. It's mostly restricted to the first one, but regardless, I used it. And then there's the issue of all of those Yugioh clips and those Family Guy/Simpsons jokes...

By simply posting in the thread, it got knocked back to the top of the Other Videos section, so in the technical sense, any post is a bump. On that note, it would be funny and probably useful if we had a Sage feature here like 4chan. Then we could say all sorts of cruel things on threads we don't like without getting them getting sent to the top of the forum.

The same reason most AMV Hell clones aren't immensely popular.
1. Made by some random people, thus not posted in a News Thread
2. Does not involve any editing done by Zarxrax or SSG
3. Titties, Explosions, utterance of ****, utterance of ****, utterance of ******, blood, gore, and fake semen coming from penis tentacles. Okay, that last one might not be all that common, but you get the idea.

EDIT: Not to mention that entertainment is relative, so many folks may view Minis as better than this video anyway. If popularity was based on apparent quality, Mecha Hell (http://www.amvhell.com/showthread.php?4276-Mecha-Hell) would have gotten more attention than this thread has.

As I mentioned on the first page, this is the half-assed version that I just slapped together as fast as possible, mostly due to the fact that I though AMV Hell 6 would be out soon and I wanted to sync that release with this one, since I thought a lot of people would be on the site then. I've noticed a lot of technical errors in this version of the video, some caused by encoding, some caused by laziness, and some caused by my own ignorance, so I figured that before I put this on AMV.org, I'll have to do some polishing so they won't murder me over that stuff. That, and there might be a clip or two I want to add to this thing.

On that note, I think my decision to censor some of this video was influenced by the fact that I wanted to natively upload this to AMV.org, but now I see that there's too much gore for me to do that anyway, so unless I just put smileys over absolutely everything in one version, the Org will most likely ban me for the video being too harsh, given their standards. I can still upload it to a different site and give out a link on there without getting into any trouble, though.

While that may be true, to some extent, I still want to fix the flaws with the lip-syncing, orphan frames, and slight discoloration present in some of the clips. We'll chalk it up to OCD. I know they probably won't like this thing anyway, for one reason or another, but seeing as how I don't donate to the site, that's either a good thing because I can see everything that they really want to say, since they won't hold back due to me not supplying them with any more monies, or they won't say anything at all. and I'll have to do one of those opinion exchanges with someone to get them to watch it and then tell me how ****ty it was. It's all in good fun, really.

As for the matter of censorship, they're just paranoid that the government will attack them for having too much inappropriate content hosted on their servers. That doesn't scare them enough to completely ban gore and nudity from links, though, so I don't see how they think that will help them all that much. You post a link to a site with child pornography on Facebook, and you'll still probably get into some kind of trouble, even if the porn itself wasn't uploaded to their server.
