RULES + GUIDELINES:

The AMVs posted here are supposed to be funny and or entertaining. So try to make your AMVs funny and or entertaining.
If you can’t make anything funny and or entertaining with the material in front of you, at least try to be creative with your editing. This thread is a good training ground, so use it to experiment a little.
If you have an idea for the current clip- “call” it with a post. This will let others know that you are making something. Provide an estimate of how long it will take before your AMV is made and posted.
If you fail to provide a time estimate, then you’ll have 3 hours to post your AMV.
If you fail to post anything after those 3 hours, we’ll interpret it as a forfeit and the current AMV will be up for grabs again.
Be as outrageous as you like, but try to keep things youtube-friendly.
Try to keep your AMVs short. We don’t need any 1-3 minute videos in here.
List the audio and video sources used in your AMV (other players may be able to find better quality copies to work with), and provide links when possible.

Update: Well, ****, I'm gonna have to call off. Everything I've got sources for don't have the clips I would need, and for the ones I'd need, I can't seem to find a source that isn't **** quality. I could dump more time into it, but I do still have to put the finishing touches on my clip for the last challenge, and I'd rather not miss on that.

*edit* Never mind. I can't find a 8bit video file of what I want to use, and none of the methods I used to convert 10bit to 8bit actually worked like they used to for me (and yes, I installed all the latest codecs and everything).

Side note: anyone know of video editing software that can actually work with 10bit videos without the need to convert? Even replacing Vegas 12 with 13 didn't work >_>. You'd think Sony would be able to keep up with the times....

Related to your errors problem, I needed Haar's help setting everything up again, when I moved to my Windows 8.1 machine (Virtualdub, AvS, MP4box, GUIextract all weren't working at the time). AvS still doesn't close because of "traceback error", so I need to Crtl+Alt+Del every time I use it.

That's kinda the preferred method, but not always viable (or worth it, for that matter). This isn't an AMV Hell video, it's the tennis thread. We're far more forgiving on quality in here.

Plus, can we really expect everyone to throw together a decent clip in under 3 hours if they have to find a good source every time?
