Your left index finger would be on the "f" key while your right on the "j". (Notice the little bump on these two keys)
That's the basics of it. Your hands are on top of those keys at all times and only move from them to hit a key not in that position. If nothing else, it's a fast way to get good memory of where every letter is on the keyboard.
