    Default AMV Minis Challenge - Rules & Deadlines

    Welcome to the newest installment of AMV Minis--AMV Minis Challenge!
    Each round will be a new "Challenge" for you to attempt!
    Simply make a short video adhering to the theme of that round, and then a winner will be chosen from among all of the entries by viewers like you!

    AMV Minis Challenge is completed. The following information no longer applies.
    Rules:
    1. You may submit only 1 video per Challenge.
    2. Videos MUST be 40 seconds or less in length. Less than 30 seconds is preferred.
    3. Videos should adhere to the theme of the round. "Troll" videos, or videos which do not adhere to the spirit of the challenge may be rejected outright.
    4. Videos must not be adult in nature. Strong language, nudity, overly sexual or ultra-violent material may be rejected.
    5. Videos of exceptionally poor quality, including videos created at a very low resolution or that contain unnecessary subtitles or product logos may be rejected.
    6. You may not beg or solicit others to vote for your video. It is preferred (but not required) to keep your entry anonymous until after voting is complete.

    Schedule:
    Each Challenge will be open for entries for approximately 4 weeks.
    A new Challenge will be announced every 2 weeks. (On Saturdays)
    Voting will begin 1 week after the Challenge closes, and last for 2 weeks.
    The winner of the Challenge will be announced immediately when voting closes.
    With this schedule, something new will be happening every Saturday! So be sure to check back each week!

    How to Submit:
    - Acceptable formats: AVI, MP4, MKV. Any other formats, especially MOV or WMV will be rejected!
    - You are encouraged to create your videos in 720p HD resolution.
    - Upload your video to Dropbox. Click here for a tutorial for uploading your videos.
    - Submit your video via the online form here: (removed)
    - If you have any trouble with getting your video in the right format, or uploading to dropbox, feel free to ask for help in the video help forum.

    Reading how this works again... Is this truly AMV Minis season 3, or is it more like AMV Hell Championship Edition part 2?

    In other words, are you planning to make an AMV Minis episode out of each theme, or will one video be released at the end compiling the winners and other favorites?

    I'm wanting to participate in these challenges, but I feel like I should use new animes instead of all the old stuff the series has used many times in the past. Kinda torn though, because coming up with jokes is way easier for older animes.
    What do you guys think I should do?

    Be flexible and use a mixture of both. While using the same old stuff gets stale after a while, being too bold with a bunch of new content is sort of risky and often yields results similar to previously used jokes anyway.
