Haters exist for a reason, not because they are intolerant, because they have seen all of the bull**** your 'fandom' has wrought. You have brought whatever hate you see see upon yourselves. You associate yourself with the group, you pay the consequences of whatever the group brings, including the ever growing amount of "haters" that spring up from it. As stated before, MLP is a decent, yet grossly over rated show, I appreciate it's animation, and some of it's story in some parts (Discord was a damn good villain even if he's a rip off of the Joker, Sheogorath, Q from Star Trek, etc.) but the brony fandom? I do not.

I've been talking to new friend on youtube we meet through comments on my top 30 strongest bleach character video.
first we discussed bleach and the ranking of the characters,Then we moved on to one peice now we're tallking about general stuff but he's interested in doing some amvs.
Then he asked where he can get footage so I suggested ripping from a dvd or downloading a torrent.
Then he asked if theres any chance of a torrent containing a virus.
I told Him I didn't know and told him I'd ask here
So can Torrents contain viruses?

Potentially, yes. But if you actually know what you're doing, no. As long as you use a good site like BakaBT, you should be fine.

Even then, I've been through a few crazy parts of the internet and still haven't gotten a virus from torrenting. TV-Nihon's tracker was listed as an attack site by my anti-virus and I'm still fine. That must've been a false alarm.

All depends on what you're download, anime or software. Anime I wouldn't worry but when downloading software and depending what it is you have to show some caution

To be honest I thought about PMing you dirrectly but decided to post it here to see what other peoples opinions on torrenting were.

P.s I didn't realize until reading mads post I didn't mention that I'm on about Torrents for anime.

So anime should be fine.

There's bound to be a few anime torrents with viruses in them, but as long as you don't open random .exe files, you should be good. Of course, I really can't think of a situation where that would occur.

I went to the cinema with my mates - chris and john my step brother gareth and my cousn richard to see the amazing spiderman in 2D
It was the 20.20 showing and to our surprise and delight we were the only ones in the cinema for that showing.

When I watch a movie, I usually wait until it plays at the cheap theater, which doesn't happen until the movie is released on dvd and/or bluray. It's funny, they actually use a ps3 connected to a projector to display the movies. You can even see the ps3 menu when they switch out the preview disk with the movie disk xD
