The PC will always win my vote. It is upgradable and good at more than playing video games. No system could outbeat it.

PC would be best overall. Not just because its upgradeable, but also because the controls are a bit easier to get used to.

I've wasted so much money on my PC, so I have no choice but to choose that one
I also love Super Nintendo ;D

I voted Gamecube because I haven't played many PC games on my PC, and mainly because of Super Smash Brothers Melee. (Endless matches of Marth vs. Samus)

Surprisingly, I like the 360 better then the PC when i think about it, cause playing every game you have on a PC tends to get boring quicker then on the 360.

my answer would have to be the PS2, simply because i have always found it has a huge library of games, they are easily found, and there's something for everyone.

I mean even my games run the gamut (sp?), i have everything from Katamari Damacy to Guitar Hero to Guilty Gear to God of War, wow, lots of Gs

PS3 is more like PS FAIL 3.

Sony lost the console war. the 360 is making more money in games alone then boh other companies are making in colsoles.

AND! the 360 has all the good games.... what does PS3 have? R:FoM?

Give me a break.

the Wii ain't that hot either. Not even considered Next gen. its more of a party console.

All around the 360 is by far the best investment.

Unfortunately, the PS3 is the most powerful console, so people make the mistake of equating that with "good console".

Fact is, the PS3 has yet to have any amazing games, whereas the 360 has plenty and the Wii has a few. (well, good exclusive games.)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that the PS3 ain't gonna get any 'great' games for some time. The new Metal Gear Solid looks like crap on a stick, with some emos added in and sking tight armor for everyone. I saw the trailer for it, and I was discusted, not by the flaming homosexuality, of the new 'Badass'- I don't know his name, but some of you MGS fans may. (HE WEARS FRIKKNHIGHHEELS !!!), but by the general annoyingness of the little robott that takes up around 30-40 minutes talking to Snake about nothing important.

I also thought that the point of a trailer was to interest/show some tibbit about the game, this game bored me to no end.

I saw A Small firefight between rebels and some other guys, which was wildly interesting.

I also saw giant robots with lizard legs, which looked really, really stupid.

I saw the new 'OMG BADASS!'- an incredibly skinny, weak, gay looking fellow in skin tight white, or grey armor wih highheels.

oh YEAH! I also saw Snake run through an empty street avoiding bad guys (but not doing anything to them, which is acceptable) and then HIDE FOR 30 FRIKKEN MINUTES, while some idiotic little tramsmitter robot dlundered up to him and began jabbering away to him (all the while doing classic japanese humor style antics, such as stumbleing incessantly) for the remainder of the trailer.

Thats the best game I;m expecting for the PS3 in a while.

MAYBE Haze, but they already lost exclusivity to that.

Also, there is no more katamari damacies

no more exclusivity to UT, or GTA series

The only thing that I can see preventing the PS3 from falling into total faildom is Guitar Hero, and the fact that it came out a short time ago.

Resistance: fall of man (which was supposed to compete with GoW, halo 3 and some other things, had already faded into obscurity.

and to top it off, Sony managed to botch its implementation of Blu-Ray. I mean, how did you manage to do that?! I'll tell you.

They released the Blue-Ray too soon. Who is going to buy a $500-600 console just to play movies? I'm not sure but are PS3 disks just blue ray disks?

How are you going to compete with the 360, which uses DvD disks, something people have been using for at least a decade, with something totally incompatible (movie wise) that has mroe of a place in a Blue-Ray player released one or two years from now?

Sony (game department wise) has taken a beating. Microsoft now reigns supreme over the Game console market (Along with nintendo)

Face it Sony, your time in the sun has melted you into slag!!!

HAHA!

Blu-Ray will become popular. How? Time Warner and some other major company I can't remember the name of have both decided to switch to Blu-Ray, or at least to back it substantially. I'd say the Blu-Ray vs. DVD war will end sometime soon.

As far as your "something people have been using for a decade" argument... by that logic, we'd still be using cassette tapes and VCR's, which were replaced in the mid-80's by CD's and the mid-90's DVD's, respectively. Of course, the DVD and Blu-Ray disk might just choose to co-exist like the cassette tape and the 8-track did.

As far as your little anti-MGS4 tirade is concerned: to each his own. You strike me as a shooter kind of guy, AllThingsGreen, so I'm not surprised to find you're not attracted to the subtleties and finesse of a stealth game. I'd also say you're fairly alone in your "the new MGS is going to suck" mindset. Not to say you shouldn't stand by your beliefs; I'm just saying that you shouldn't look around expecting many people to agree with you.

The "new badass" is Raiden from MGS2. In keeping with MGS tradition, the guys at Konami decided that the new MGS title would need someone to fill the "Cyborg Ninja" role established by Grey Fox in MGS1 and continued by Olga Gurlukovich in MGS2. I'm not sure why they chose Raiden to be the Cyborg Ninja of MGS4 (possibly because Konami seems to be throwing every major and most minor characters from all of the MGS games into MGS4) but the heels thing is a joke on the fact that, in MGS2, Raiden looked a lot like and was mistaken for a girl on a few occasions. He looks skinny and weak because he is; Hideo Kojima said publicly that Raiden is literally "falling apart" and that most of his body has been replaced by cybernetics. His own blood isn't even his original blood, which is why he's so exceedingly pale.

I do agree with you, however, that Sony is past its prime. The GameCube didn't really put up much of a fight in the last console war (it was a good system, but far from the best), and by the time the Xbox came around, the PS2 was already very well-established. You could say that, in this console generation, Microsoft used Sony's own tactics against them by releasing the 360 so early. Now, the PS3 has to work to uproot the support for the 360, and isn't doing so well at it.
