hide and seek

just a question, the song "hide and seek" from imogen heap is used a couple of times in amv hell.
it's usualy used when someone is shot, but i'm not getting it at all, even with the lyrics it's still unclear why people would wanna use that song at a dying moment.
maybe someone can clear this up for me

It was used in one of the season finales of The OC when some guy was shot. It was parodied on SNL in a digital short called "Dear Sister" which made fun of the slow dramatic death. That parody sparked many other parodies to be put onto YouTube and other video sites, so basically they're all parodies of another parody. I was fortunate enough to have seen the original before seeing AMV Hell 4 and fell over laughing from them.
