Employed/unemployed what do you (want to) do

I've actually recently had a career change and have enlisted with the U.S. air force. I start BT's in the fall and with luck will be working in airborne linguistics stationed somewhere in the pacific.

I've Been thinking about trying to do an actual manga series and if it goes well do it as an actual job.

Unless you count "student" as a job, then I'm unemployed. I've been considering getting a part-time job at Walgreen's or something, though.

Student counts as employment as far as the government is concerned I'm a student and a coal salesmen.

I'm a UI Architect at a company that makes a CMS for academic publishing. This is after: dropping out of college; briefly joining, then quitting the navy; working security at a porn shop; pushing pencils at my local university; freelance web dev; working as a faceless dev for a huge e-commerce company.

Worked as a prison guard for a while...most boring job I've ever seen. (seriously try sitting in a van with no radio for 4 hours each night)
Ended up getting in a "disagreement" with the major so I was "let go".
Currently unemployed and honestly not sure where I want to work right now.

OK, I'll share..
Currently, I am 43, which I believe may just make me the oldest member on this site (I do put the "senior" in Senior Member)
I usually stay at any given job for 1 or 2 years before moving on, and I have done just about everything in my "career" thus far.
I started as a marquee changer at a movie theatre (use a long pole to hang the letters up - my marquees were always perfectly centered)
then became doorman/usher and part-time projectionist.
Other jobs include:
Worked at a plant that made A/C parts for Honda cars; warehouse work; a plastic injection molding plant; truck loader; tree stump grinder/removal; manager of a Radio Shack; McDonald's (twice)
Pizza Hut Asst Mgr; about 10 other pizza shops; Bob Evans as busboy, dishwasher, eventually kitchen prep cook; Used-car sales; new car sales; newspaper delivery; Printer operator that prints junk mail (Publisher's Clearinghouse, yep, printed those) and as a line server at a buffet.
Currently, I am a line cook at a small, but busy restaurant/motel/bar. It's busy as balls all the time, and I am good at what I do. Been there about a year and a half.
and of course....I'm underpaid =)

Not working right now. Just applied for a position at a fancy Belgian beer place, and the local used video game shop. Either would be awesome.

I want to be working in costumes and or props and miniatures for movies. So far everything I've done has been small-scale/unpaid/honorariums.

with so much CGI out there, I'm wondering if there is really any call for miniatures anymore. Costume and props would be fun though
