Ignore him, VLC plays everything. And I mean everything. Plus it has no funky plug-ins and is free. And takes up no space on your screen or memory when you're not watching something. It can also support multiple subtitle tracks or remove them if you want.

If you don't want to dl it (don't see why, it's only a few megs), then get the CCCP. It's the Combined Community Codec Pack for Window Media Player and it'll make it play just about anything. If you like the WMP outlay, then I suggest it.

I have both, just in case. But I strongly recommend VLC. I've never seen a file it couldn't play.

I use Zoom Player but also have codecs installed... Never have a problem with any videos either...
