(I was originally gunna post this in the Random abstract wallpaper thread, but I wasn't sure how many people go there, so I decided to make a seperate thread.)

After seeing this picture, I fell in love with it. It also made me ask a question to myself, and I pass this question onto you guys/gals as well, just out of pure curiosity. If you were to choose an element for yourself, considering your life style, personalities, likes and dislikes, etc... what would that element be? But with this question you are not limited to just earth, wind, water, and fire. All elements are included in this such as: spirit, ice, lightning and shadow (dark or whatever you want to call it).

Myself, I think I would choose water being that my favorite color is blue and I love swiming in the summer. When I was younger (in fact I do this now) I will go underwater for far longer than I should and just let the feeling of the water relax me until the point where I want to fall asleep. XD (As a side note, of anyone in my family, I take the longest showers because thats how relaxed I get.) Sometimes my parents call me a fish, and at time I do wish that I could have gills and just live underwater. Sounds silly I know, but that's just what happens when I'm in a pool by myself.(Thankfully I haven't drowned yet) ^_^

Id say Fire because I'm hot well not realy I just wanted to say that for the first time while having some truth to it last year I was 300 pounds I am now a good 193 hahaha my 36 pants are to big now I'm soo happy aaaanyway....... air would be cool to wind can turn even the tallest mouton into dust given enough time and water can turn a bolder into a pebble and earth IS earth ummmmmmmmmm I pic duck duck... by personal preference i'm fire, and i tend to be fire in excessive amounts.

i guess i'd be light. I shine upon people i talk to, people feel comfortable next to me, i have the correct ideas and so on. But remember, since there is no light without fire, i tend to get "flamy" sometimes and so it's rather a apradox. I am ofa very calm character, yet i can get so "fired up" i'll kick you in the face.

Earth, and I don't think I have a lot of reasons to refute that or combine it with anything else. After some consideration it seemed pretty obvious.

I am a realist through and through, therefore the phrase "down to earth" does immediately come to mind, and that was the first thing I thought of. The world goes through a lot of small changes: there might be hurricanes or landslides or the release of a new Halle Berry movie, but those are all very small and insignificant events in comparison with its actual size. I may not go through a lot of obvious or all-encompassing changes in mood, disposition, etc?my general everyday demeanour is nearly exactly the same as it was last week, and the week before that, but a countless number of small changes take place constantly within my psyche that are very important to me, but really don't change how I interact with the outside world (in this case, the universe at large); I have a lot of epiphanies and invent/consider a lot of theories about rather impractical factions of life and society in my head, occasionally writing them down in my journal over the course of that week. But, once everything is said and done, about 70% of my surface is still water-logged, I'm still about 40,000 km around, and I still serve about the same purpose as always. I've never had the slightest inclination to suddenly go emo, or move to Switzerland, or anything like that, my orbit remains pretty solid and I don't necessarily see the need for that to change. There are some subtle eccentricities or outbursts that I might have in a public place, that no one could predict or even make sense of, but those are usually the only public abnormalities/differentiations any close friends of mine might discern.

I tend to gravitate towards the cool and calming colours of green and blue (though for some reason my favourite colour is red), and whenever I have a random urge to draw something, which happens frequently, it's usually a landscape, either mountains or hills or fields or something like that, but occasionally sailboats and whales, water-related art. I think that would be my second choice as an element, but not quite as accurate. I also still build sand castles obsessively whenever I'm at the beach, which is another pretty excellent example of earth-related art. :P

We'll never know everything about the Earth, and I don't think it would be possible to even get close. Similarly, there's a lot more to be known about me than anyone on earth currently does, which is another thing I don't think I plan to, or could possibly, change. I am a sucker for giving people company or shelter or help when they ask for it, or even when they just plain old impose themselves on me, I'll still give it to them gladly and without hesitation. Almost everyone seems to want me to accommodate their presence, although if I end up tolerating you for a long period of time, I might start to make things somewhat unpleasant for you after a while, and you might only be in for a temporary stay; it's fairly common knowledge that very little of the Earth's surface is actually inhabitable. Therefore, a very small percentage of people that come into my life end up being granted a permanent home there, but those few people end up being very happy, and thus feel very warm and safe when they're with me.

I'm pretty sure that's about all I came up with.

I would have to say Lighting. I love to use it in games... just as in life it is random but with direction to get the random moments such as influence. I say many randoms things I usually never hit the same random spot, simalir but not exact. I also have been known to stun people with it. I was known for saying if blue is a colour and cars can be driven then applesauce to the square root of banana equals coconut cream pie. it was a sentance to get people to go away in my programing class. it was based off the colours they represent. such as banana would be yellow and yellow in turing is a number and the answer they wanted could be found iin my random riddle that spewed from my tounge. I scare some with my randomosity and some are compelled by it. same goes for lighting I suppose. oh and for comedy sake

I also like the night time, because everyone's asleep and I'm not bothered by the hustle and bustle of daily life...seems like that explains again why I'm Earth-like; half of me always just wants to be alone, be peaceful, in the dark.

Another inside joke with captain planet with my friends is me and two of my friends had ring pops and one of my friends raised his ring and shouted "Earth" and immediately me and the other friend raised our ringpops and shouted "Heart!" so from that point on we decided not to include the other elements xD. Just Earth and Heart...thats it.
