What would happen........well as a little kid I always imagined that if I smashed my TV screen with something all the little people in would come out. What would happen I wonder because no one that I know has smashed their TV so maybe there's another universe in your TV.......well this is kinda stupid.........

you'll find a similair idea to this thread in the "What if" thread; i think this particuraly question has been asked there, truth be told. still, no harm done. :)


as for me, if i ruled the world, i would confiscate all weapons, ban all religions and religious texts, outlaw intolerance, enforce universal heathcare and nutrition for all people, and make rights equal to all, regardless of all factors. I would aslo disband 98% of the world's armed forces, inclduing every nuclear weapon, and put the money into medical research, social programs, building schools, and ensuring the universal healthcare and feeding the world. I would aslo impose incredibly heavy taxes on the wealthy, especially business owners, celeberties, and athletes, and enforce a minimum wage for all people that actually allowed people to live GOOD lives, and not just barely living. And on that subject, i would force government officials to make the minimum wage and make it criminal for them to be given a penny more, so the governement cares about keeping the minimum wage livable. I would make schools a far stricter place, making public school akin to private schools with longer hours, less social time, striter guidelines, and most of all, optionable; if you don't want to go to school to learn, you don't go to school period and can get a job. I would also enforce a sole world languange, beginning by ensuring all schools in the world taught (languange to be determiend here) as a secondary languange, and phase out all other languanges over time. Schools would also out a stronger emphasis on life skills, so students learned math and science alongside cooking, plumbing, and balancing a checkbook. I would outlaw harmful addictive substances like cigarettes and alcohol and replace them with legal marijuana. All cars would have a breathlizer test (or new world equivalent) to ensure no car would ever start if you were not fit to drive. Also, all cars would be electric or solar powered, and fossil fuels would be phased out for geothermal, wind, and solar powered sources. I would also encourage, if not mandate, an emergency call bracelet for all people; a device to send an "SoS" to local authorities in the event of an attack, theft, kidnapping, etc. I would also enforce harsher criminal penalties; all "true" criminal penalties (rape, assualt, murder, etc) would result in life imprisonment, no exception, no parole. I would have "government centers" where the government regualtes housing to elimate the homeless problem, and have government run facilities and manufacturing to create jobs for former homeless people. I would tax revunues for urban renewal, to fix, repair, and maintain our town and cities, to let no place become a "ghetto."

I think that's a start :)

it appears i've stumbled into a lecture followed by a seemingly private conversation...

for the most part vicky's plan looks like "remove bad parts from *blank*", not a "bad" start, but there be some problems, mostly dealing with the human condition.

couldn't really call in "perfect" maybe a little more regulated then i tend to agree with, but it has purpose, although it would take some very level heads to keep things civil and not all police state-ish...

i'm rambling...

long story short, i'd probably not rule the world, i'm a wee bit lazy, and lack the necessary amount of caring to get past groups larger then about 20 people.

well, i'm ok with a police state if it's run with competancy. most people think police states and instantly assume corruption, as that usually happens.


granted, i wouldnt' vote for a police state and thats not my goal above, but i would use many similiar ideas in my ideal world. I think it would be good if we increased the police to double and triple it's size, and have a lot more local patrols. the budget for such a thign would be taken from all the rich althletes who don't deserve jack in my opinion. still, giving police a hefty salary and incentatives, increasing law enforcement would be easier and practical, i think.

i doubt i'm the only one who thinks peace is worth the cost. does killing one to save a 1000 a bad choice, or do you let the 1000 die?

well no, you don't kill thousands for hundred in msot cases... if there's a disease outbreak, then circumstance could demand it.

and i think if we did it right, abolosing national lines and religin, etc, peace would be the end result.
