you could do what I do, I tend to pick a song after I have an anime, well I can go either way but if you get stuck in life it never hurts to reverse your thinking

trying to help, i looked up your songs and these are my thoughts:


Dogma("sex drugs god cash" line) - I think "akira' and serial experiment lain when i heard this.

megaman("i am the creator" line) not sure which song this is; do you know who it is by, or where i could find it?

Womanizer - lot of ways to go with this one. hentai is one way, obviosly. you could use your a tenchi muyo or a love hina video. or you could go with an actual womanzier, say Lupin the third. golden boy comes to mind as well.

I stand alone - this is a simple "fight!" song. pick a favorite character with a battle, and go nuts. DBZ, Ruroni Kenshi, gundam, Hellsing, berserk, whatever. have fun with it! :)

have to disagree with the dogma choice here and I stand alone has too many mediocre amv's made from it, I always recommend avoid making amv's with a song like that

well, with a song like that, your option seem rather open ended; with only 2 lines, almost anything will fit the song.

well the megaman could go with Mr. roboto I guess and it seems ur making a full AMV hell kinda thing? if so don't tell u have more exp yah know that's why I'm just making full song ones at the moment as well to that I'm also working other vid projects I get hired for so I'm kinda good at editing before I started here haha just get better at the vid parts and keep the brain juices going and it will hit you like a brick from outer space when you get a good one :)

I just work on the one's I have my program doesen't work on FLV files witch is what real player save's them as BTW does anyone know of any decent DVD rippers? what i'm doing now is just hoking the Player to my comp thro a media bridge and to my firewire port and capturing as i would a camera. it works just takes time and lots of space on my comp Thanks!

ohhhhhh ok. i catch on now.

for the dogma song, use a clip from that racy nun show; i forget the name (help anyone?) but it involves nuns and a lot of sex.

megaman: how about neon genesis evangelion? should be obvious if you've seen it.

womanizer: i like golden boy or lupin here for laughs. lot of scens for these two.

stand alone: for something different, i'd use the edning of the "ultimate showdown" flash clip where mr. rogers stands alone on top of all the bodies.

and for an opening, i'd go for something silly. how about the sound clip from pee wee's play house where the king of cartoons says "let the cartoons..... BEGIN!!" with a video clip of say, Mr. Satan of DBZ turning on his TV? then close up on the TV, and proceed with the other videos. just a though, take it or leave it.

there's obscure and there's understandable, FLCL is not obscure, many many people know of the show, understandable is not a word i'd use to describe the show thou...

the only thing i can say for the show is that it appears to of been made to give "the pillows" a backdrop for their music.
