YO!!! heverbody The Divine Dragoon Is in the house and ready to help with Comp upgrades!!!!! hahahhahahahahha

anyway first things first get rid of the LCD monitor the rez goes down the ****ter with those and if something is left on the screen (your background) for a long time (over night) it will burn in the screen go for a plasma screen if you want the small flat screen givs you that high rez power on say Crysis or if you can have the space get a standard monitor I use a sincmaster 997DF it works great

I would bump up your HDD up to at least 500GB so you wont have space probs in having all your games installed at once and your computer will run faster playing them as well you need at least 2GB for max game play read your manuals youll see

intel is good but AMD althion is way better mine runs there quad core (phenom 64 quad) runs like a dream (^_^)

bump up your ram!! the best thing anyone can do to there comp is MORE RAM!!!!! try at least 3 GB of DDR2 runs much faster than standard DDR get DDR3 if you can afford it I can't haha :D

on your graphics card is ok for a better run that will keep going for more than 5 years try at least a 9000 series card in AGP if you have it PCIE is what i have works great if you have standard PCI get a mother board that has PCIE or AGP youll thank me later haha

your DVD drive is good if you can hold one more get a standerd DVD drive no need to have a burner if you already have one and it would be much cheaper too

the keyboard and mouse is your own preferences my self i have the keyboard that came with the comp but my mouse is a logitech cordless optical trackman I like them the best but other people hate them so its all up to you what feels and works best

in a order of priory i would recommend

1 the RAM
2 your graphics card
3 the CPU
4 the HDD
5 the monitor
6 the DVD drive

I go to http://www.newegg.com/ they have really good prices, revues by people that had bought the parts your looking at, and the have a money back guarantee so if you dont like what you bought you can send it back no questions asked you'll get a better deal than going to bestbuy or what ever so good luck!! and have fun!! ;D

thanks for the help guys i will see what i can afford :D. I think RAM is the the cheapest and it is at the top of your list so i will check it out. You both said something about the monitor so probly need to get a new one and i have notice that burned in thing... i can see stuff that has been on for a few hours in the screen. Still not quite sure which mointor i should get but thanks again for the help so far :D

in my own opinion don't go for HD it's not that big of a deal I can't tell the difference and it dosent matter eather just one of those monaters that came out before the HD ones much cheaper haha your CPU is good for now you'll do fine with it but the RAM and G card for shure and rember the bigger the number on the card the better it works hahaha (^_^)

my opinion is save your money, you could probably run Crysis at medium settings (or maybe not, but you never said how much RAM you have) so you're doing pretty well

because youll have bragging right's dummy!! the only thing you all have over me is I have Dial up in the back woods so use the term POWER!!! MORE POWER!!!!!!!! haha :D anyway as far as ram goes just look at the specs Kingston is reliable so use it as a fall back if nothing else looks good but try to get some that have cooling packs it will be listed on the specks That's my worst prob is Heat buildup on my comp

rember the bigger the number on the card the better it works

no, that's wrong dude, sometimes they just add +200 (or smth like that) to the title and do not change anything else. imo, cheaper versions of cards are better if you're short of money. they are cheap and work just fine. try 9600 GT or something if you have an AGP card, if you have a PCI-E one, keep it for now.

if you have standard PCI get a mother board that has PCIE or AGP youll thank me later haha

:/ does this have any sense....

*edit*

and go with ATI if you want to, really, there's nothing wrong with it
(i still use nVidia :P)

huh, that's not the main thing. GPU and VRAM working frequences, that's the numbers you need to look at. the amount of memory is not that important sometimes.

who? me? :D
man, if you can plug a video card into a standart PCI slot, you're a god, really =P

as long as the timing of all the components are the same there is no problem and even if there is you can still change the timing of everything connected to the CPU and just sink them all to it.
