that's very presumptuous, it's obviously an opinion to say so ahead of time would be redundant and counteractive to my pride on my economy of words; the only reason to announce that would be if I thought you were all too stupid to register that on an intuitive level

I disagree. I think that stating an opinion as if it were a fact is presumptuous, especially if it's such a loaded statement. Unless the person know me well, I don't think I could convey that it's an opinion without saying or at least implying it. A few extra syllables is a small price to pay for clarity, in my opinion.

I knew this was an opinion from the beginning. But looking back, I don't think that's the issue at hand. I think that the speaker acknowledging that it's an opinion is important for the sake of diplomacy. And yes, it IS possible to be honest and diplomatic at the same time.

lol I am not a Mod or a GM on here. That's from an online game I play where I am a GM/Forums Mod. It's where my name originally came from I just figured it was alright to use the same name for this forum since it's anime based.

And I've seen far worse than that as a joke. One time I got joke banned by the game creator for like 30 seconds XD

Wouldn't know cause oddly enough I've never played FF8, I just got hooked on the card game cause I can play it while doing other things. Could care less about FF games more or less, aside from FFT (original) None of the ones I've played really impressed me, granted that's a small amount but I just don't really like the way they do things XD

No, it had to be aliens, maybe not the squid per se but making it Dr. Manhattan invalidates the premise and makes Ozymandias's pet completely irrelevant, all that being said I wouldn't recomend the movie to anyone, the only credit I'll give it is that it didn't entirely betray the book like so many others do *cough* V for Vendetta *cough*
