If someone could direct me to animes which feature eccentric, crazy, or otherwise outstanding or awesome teachers, it would be greatly appreciated. So far I've got Onizuka from GTO, Yukari from Azumanga, and Yomiko from R.O.D.

Oh, and the names of said characters and the episodes in which they appear would be most helpful. Thank you! :)

how the hell did you miss Nozomu Itoshiki from sayonara zetsubou sensei, he pretty much wins any eccentric teacher contest. and I've got to throw in the professor from Moyashimon, he's a bit out there. If you're willing to accept teachers that are really minor Bleach and FLCL each have a fairly crazy teacher. Sawako Yamanaka from K-ON!

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, eh? I guess it's one of the few titles that I haven't heard of. *goes off and investigates*

Any particular episodes that showcase them at their most eccentric, or are they consistently so throughout?

well Nozomu is always crazy, so any episode. most episodes with Sawako are good: the one where she flashes back to her days as the leader of a metal band are good but for her being crazy as a teacher any episode in which she makes costumes. the guy from Moyashimon always has some kind of smelly food, in the first episode he cuts open a walrus and eats the seagulls it was stuffed with. The FLCL teacher is just manic but she's in the 3rd or 4th episode I think and there's a pretty good one with the teacher from bleach early on in the The New Captain Syūsuke Amagai arc

How about the teacher from Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan? He's really weird... just look at him!

come to think of it even though he gets mentioned all of like once Zetsubou sensei does have that one other teacher whose only defining feature is the Yakuza tattoo on his back

Happy Lesson for sure. Five ladies, all crazy, all this one kid's mom. Sadly I'm too lazy to look up the names of the teachers, but DearS and Mohoromatic as well.

you could mention the teacher from Fate/Stay Night, she was pretty crazy; also the sensei from FMA comes to mind. I'd include the guy from Akira as well, he was in all of one scene and all he did was punch everyone in the face whilst shouting "Discipline!" There's also Kamiya Kaoru from Rurouni Kenshin and Germany from Hetalia
