I want to know a little about how you all got involve with anime and what better way that to tell what was your first anime that you watch that got you hooked into this wounderful artform that we all love.

Well for me the first anime series that got my attention was Sailor Moon after that i was hooked line and sinker. My favorate sailor scout is Jupiter i have a thing for tomboish girls.

The early parts of the Saiyuki series, my mom and step dad were getting it off of net flicks.

I didn't get hugely into Anime until I saw AMV Hell 3.

yeah actually I got into anime from watching Sailor moon in the early 90's

actually my first was pokemon but it doesn't really count as i got hooked like 6-7 years later when i watched Trigun

I remember Sailor Moon and Pokemon from my younger years, and all the others that came along with weekday early morning TV and Saturday morning TV.

I finally got into more or less around the time Toonami started to hit it off and gave me a steady source.

The first Anime I downloaded was Claymore.

Pokemon is the first that I remember watching.

But I really got into anime when I watched Jojo's bizarre adventure.

Pokemon was the first i watched when i was 5.

but it was AMV hell 3 that got me into Anime. so after that i watched Gunsmith Cats. so that must've been the first anime ive watched through.

yeah I was already into anime by the time toonami came around(and I'm pretty sure Adult Swim had anime before toonami was created)

toonami started in 1997 and air monday through friday. adult swim didnt start till 2001.

My very first anime would have been Samurai Pizza Cats, although that was before I was conscious of anime as a distinct tradition - I just saw it as another fun cartoon on Fox Kids.

The first anime where I probably had an inkling of its status as such was most likely Teknoman, the English-language version of Tekkaman Blade - which was still very good, even if it was extensively re-cut by Saban. For some inexplicable reason, though, I was incredibly embarrassed about watching it and would try to conceal what I was doing in the half-hour before swimming practise on Tuesdays, even though I was actually enjoying the programme.

Anime is truly a unique beast. Even at the tender age of ten, I was subconsciously and innately learning to conceal my powerlevel.

It was a hentai i am ashamed to admit... Then another one. Then i got into anime like Grenadier,Love hina,Gantz And i am thinking of elfen lied...

i had watched a few of the watered down stuff like pokemon and the card game crap didn't really like it say spirited away when i was in 5th grade that is an awesome movie didn't really get into it untill i watched the amv hell series then i tried FMA and the rest as we say is history
