*Some 80ies show,* yes, but not the OP. It always went with the climactic moment. (As I recall.) And it was an annual thing, before the whole pageant went out of vogue in the early to mid 90ies.

Nah. Electro Swing, is a completely different monster than Chill, Techno, etc. The problem is one not a lot of people know about and two they are literally trying to revive the old big band swing with today's modern flare. Also most of the bands like Fabolidays, or this one Swing Republic are mostly unknown even by people that listen to Electro Swing. That is why I have to upload them to my own YouTube channel which really I hadn't uploaded anything to since the uber rare album There is a Home by I AM (Frank Klepacki's old band).
