Registered my first account in 2006 (I THINK :S ) hehe, there was a userclass called "Has no Life" in the old forum, which required 3k posts, and I deleted my first account just to see how fast i could reach it again, took me about a week to get to 500 (userclass was called Elitist), but deleted the account AGAIN for some dumber reason after i reached ~2k :p

I mean posting a lot if you have something to say is okay, even posting slightly more than needed is alright if you're really bored (like me). But posting when you have nothing to say just to hear your own voice (read your own words in the case of the internet) is just annoying.

Who remembers the old leaderboards I used to make? Well... not many people that post now. It happens in all forums, and there have been at least 2 or 3 threads to that effect. The group I used to post with was, as far as I know, roughly the second generation of big posters on the board. We were also the first ones to have post counts exceeding 1,000. Zarxrax had a lot of fun dicking around with the ratings systems back then, as Filleraol went over. I suppose I could do a new leaderboard in the old thread... it'd be a lot harder now with the new search system. And I DO love a challenge. For now, I might as well list some of the people who were part of the second generation. They're the ones I know best, as I was one of that group. I'll list them according to their periods of greatest activity, and yes I'm including acutekat despite the fact he's an arrogant spammer.

Issetheus: part of the first group as well, has been posting ever since
S.ifr/Eponymuse: the biggest poster when I joined
Filleraol: as he said, deleted his account twice. ****ed up my leaderboards a lot :P
Abbysion: just never stops posting (also, I'm not telling anyone their gender)

Yeah, I'd say the last 5 or so on that list can be considered 3rd generation or so. 3rd generation could be said to have started with Odessa, and the current group is 4th generation.
