So the World Cup of soccer is well underway and quite frankly I think it is fun as far as world cups go.
Now Me and my gf were in the city while the first game of Holland was underway and I was amazed at how many retards there were watching the game XD

It was straight madness like every bar had a flatscreen set up and entire terraces where packed to blow with supporters...and then they scored...I still have nightmares about what happened next -_-". To put it in short All freakin' Hell broke loose x3 I'm talking beer, people, tables went sky high and the noise >,< god was deaf for about five minutes xD
here are some pics of the madness before the first goal :P

sorry bout the poor quality used my phone cam

So now I wonder is this kind of stuff that bad all over the world? And if so what is the craziest thing you experienced or heard of in sports fanatics?
Pics are a welcome edition XD

I am way late on this, but my friend went to Germany during the world cup and he said it was crazy. The street were packed and there were traffic jams everywhere. Everyone was just sitting around watching the game. Plus, Germany was in the loser's finals so it was even worse for that!

Whenever, Germany won that game he said people were just running and screaming in the streets. There was a group of guys that were just rocking peoples' cars back and forth in the traffic jams. He said they even lifted this woman and her smart car off the ground! Everyone must have been really excited!

Never thought such madness would occur after, and during, a game of soccer.

i don't like sports waste of time in my opinion and over hyped.
aspecialy football/soccar.
also football/soccer seems to be the cause of a lot of riots.

A lot of people go berserk over stupid things. My friends and I love to scream our lungs out when we hackysack sometimes. It's fun to be excited about nothing important at times.

Although riots are kind of overdoing it!

Here in Brittian people take football waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too seriously, like it's some kind of religion to them. It's fine if you're just a regular fan who likes to watch and play the game but there are people here who will actually kill someone else because they support a different team

Shuiia

Well footbal I dunno bout riots, but soccer on the otherhand is notorious for it's riots.
And btw when Holland lost in the finals of the world cup...I was seriously fearing for my life o.O Like walking on the street I was afraid of getting shot or something. But also when we lost people started becoming racist all of a sudden. Calling the Spaniards thieves of our cup(yah lolwtf >_>) and vowing to destroy england for their ref.
but yeah sports are stupid to watch :P. Participating on the other hand is way more fun if there is good sportsmanship :3

Yeah, they should have also been pissed because that was the most mind numbingly boring game of soccer I have ever seen! Neither of the teams scored until about 100 minutes into the game! I was hoping for a shoot out, which would have been awesome! But no. I sat there for that long to see a regular goal. SO anticlimactic! The losers played a much better game!

The only match i ever really watched during the world cup was the England V Germany match. Anyone who lives here will know just how smug england were being during that time. Every five minutes there was an advert about it with england fans singing the BRITISH national anthem (They always think it's theirs) and mars bar wrappers changed to the England flag. They wouldn't stop saying "We're gonna win the world cup! We're gonna win the world cup!", so i just had to watch that match to see the smug smiles wiped off all of their faces from Germany's victory. I predicted a lot of empty English wallets after that

stinkyfranki
09-28-2010, 03:13 PM
Haha, that's really funny, but I feel sorry for all the suckers at the same time! Wasn't that the match where the refs messed up on that one goal? And the ending score was something like 5 to 2?

But I'm stuck in America so nobody even knew the world cup was going on! Our team didn't even make it past the second round I think

Kira2521
09-28-2010, 03:31 PM
Actually the score was 4-1 to Germany, but it wouldn't have mattered about that gowl anyway they would have stilll won

For some reason, I like your idea.

gee that'll be a big riot.
maybe we can have one at the anime convention.
then again with cosplay it'll be more like a parade than a riot.

Shuiia
10-01-2010, 01:52 PM
OMG an anime pride parade XD
That'll stir up some **** XD

stinkyfranki
10-01-2010, 02:13 PM
I don't think anyone would take us seriously. This one time, my friends and I were walking back to our hotel at a convention and these guys stopped us. They pointed at all the people in this line that were cosplaying and asked if we got paid for doing that.

Shuiia
10-01-2010, 02:44 PM
well duh anime and being a fan and stuff, and definitely cosplay is not something to take seriously XD

stinkyfranki
10-01-2010, 03:25 PM
I'd say it depends on what you're dressed up as. There are some cosplayers I wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley.

jinzo64
10-01-2010, 10:49 PM
what about soifon cosplay.

stinkyfranki
10-02-2010, 12:37 AM
Hmm, i don't know. I think I'd be more scared of Captain Komamura if I had to choose someone from Bleach.

jinzo64
10-02-2010, 12:42 AM
if it was someone from bleach Mayuri Kurotsuchi would be scarier

stinkyfranki
10-02-2010, 01:24 AM
Ah! There are so many people in bleach with such long names! I actually had to google it to find out the name of the other guy. I don't know.

Who do you think the scariest cosplay is? out of any anime

jinzo64
10-02-2010, 01:33 AM
haruhi suzumiya

stinkyfranki
10-02-2010, 01:59 AM

jinzo64
10-02-2010, 02:04 AM
depends whos cosplaying as well might some fat guy.

stinkyfranki
10-02-2010, 02:09 AM
Dear god! haha, that's digusting! That definitely takes the cake for most creepy.

Fat people shouldn't be dressing up as a young school girls and ruining my image of them!

jinzo64
10-02-2010, 02:13 AM
sorrry about that.
i guess a scary cos play woukd be alien or maybe predator

stinkyfranki
10-02-2010, 02:24 AM
Oh yeah, that would be scary if you were just walking in the dark and you just heard the clicking noise that Predators make! Although I always thought that noise sounded like Dark Helmet drinking coffee in Spaceballs.

jinzo64
10-03-2010, 12:43 AM
he'd hate someone cosplaying as a jar of raspberry jam

i guess you could call it a sticky situation

stinkyfranki
10-03-2010, 12:56 AM
Haha, or yogurt! He'd despise that! Even with strawberries!

jinzo64
10-03-2010, 12:57 AM
hes a strange one is he not?

i like raspberries and strawberries with cream.

you know what would be realy scary meeting a footballer in dark alley.

stinkyfranki
10-03-2010, 01:06 AM
Mmm! Now you're making me hungry!

haha, i think meeting anyone in a dark alley would be scary! we really strayed off the subject of this thread.

jinzo64
10-03-2010, 02:00 AM

stinkyfranki
10-03-2010, 02:41 PM
Also, have you ever seen that commercial where the soccer players are juggling the ball in their locker room? It's sick, they're bouncing it off walls and stuff! Although, I bet it took them forever to get it right, but it was still awesome!

jinzo64
10-03-2010, 07:23 PM
no i don't tink i have but sports don't interst me.
but i did like shaolin soccer and dodge ball

stinkyfranki
10-03-2010, 08:12 PM
If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball! Good movies!

Something else I want to ask you. Random question, do you have an anime list? Like on MAL or one of those?

jinzo64
10-03-2010, 08:15 PM

Oh, cool! Well the only reason I really have one is to remember everything I've seen and to assist me with the picture association game. So if I owned everything I'd seen then I wouldn't have one either.

I'm surprised you took the time to write that up for me! thanks! Hey, elemental gelade! awesome!

jinzo64
10-03-2010, 09:07 PM
your welcome.
i havn't watched it yet
i'm now watching k-on and chobits

stinkyfranki
10-03-2010, 09:19 PM
It's good. Not amazing, but I liked it! Although, the whole show is sort of like a metaphor for sex!

Haven't seen Chobits yet. would like to. How is it?

And as you can probably tell from a certain picture I just watched K-On myself. It made me want to learn how to play the guitar, but that got shut down after a half an hour.

animemental1
10-03-2010, 09:25 PM
Totally. K-On! has a spot in one of my top 10. I'm in the middle of watching Chobits. It's pretty good.

You should watch Hetalia: Axis Powers. It's a series of anime shorts. It's like Azumanga Daioh combined with politics.

10-03-2010, 09:32 PM
I don't know. I saw some of it in a viewing room and we ended up leaving a couple of minutes in. It might have just been a bad part of an episode though.
