That said I like the idea of a mini's episode or other AMV Hell-esque video paying tribute to the Kaiju genre, as In my humble opinion, the Kaiju films of the fifties and sixties (the Showa Era) helped shape the modern anime of today. And things like Gundam, Evangelion, Digimon/Pokemon, etc. all of their existence to series like Godzilla, Gamera and Ultraman. Shounen especially, as the shounen trope of getting a new power up after every defeat to kick the bad guys ass originated in those movies. (For example, Godzilla gets magnet powers in Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla, King Kong gets lightning powers in King Kong vs. Godzilla, etc.) So it would be a neat tribute. But Kaiju movies are harder to come by these days in comparison to Anime, so getting sources for the videos would be difficult. And Toho is a real asshat about videos about their monsters.

As someone who has been a part of the online Kaiju community for a long time, a lot of the old great Godzilla music videos have long since been removed by Toho copyright claim. Including some downright hilarious ones and a particularly stunning video featuring "We're all to Blame" by Sum 41 (there are still Sum 41 Godzilla vids on Youtube, but none nearly as good as that video) We are lucky to still have some good ones left, but for the most part they are a mere fraction of what used to be. That and it's still hard coming across full Kaiju movies online as well...

When I first read that you had an idea to make a Kaiju episode, I was expecting/hoping it would be dedicated solely to bondage in all its forms...

However, no matter how awesome Godzilla and the his other city-crushing colleagues are, I'm afraid we may be straying a bit too much from the actual purpose of the series. Then again, if you were really into it, you could make a sort of spin-off project...

The Showa Eiga (1954 - 1970's monster movies) has some pretty hilarious clips which could be used for great effect for example:
Godzilla Playing Volleyball with a Rock with a Giant Lobster(Godzilla vs. Ebirah/The Sea Monster)
Godzilla getting tazed in the balls (Ghidorah the Three Headed Monster)
That...victory dance (Godzilla vs. Monster Zero)
Godzilla giving a hilarious drop kick (Godzilla vs. Megalon)
The Hallucination Scene in Godzilla vs. Hedorah/The Smog Monster
Gamera.... Just Gamera.


That and we don't just have to use japanese monster movies either as Kaiju means "Monster" (Daikaiju is the specific term for Godzilla and Co.) we can use any monster movie really, and American B-Movie's of the fifties (a lot of them are now public domain) could make awesome sources as they are just as, if not more cheesy than their Japanese counterparts.
