Heres the situation, I'm having a party this weekend and I need ideas for drinking games centering round having AMV Hell on in the background.

I've had some ideas but you guys can probably do better :praise:

Criteria:
1-It's got to be sustainable... we cant all be comatose in 10 minutes but we want to get pretty smashed.
2-Suitable for those with in depth and low anime knowlege while punishing anime newbs just a little :D
3-Has to be awesome-sauce-full!

Im sorry but I just gotta ask. Are you (and your guests) age 21+?

and just how much alcohol do you plan on supplying for how many people? you should probably vary the types of drinks you provide to add uniqueness, much like the randomness that oozes from all the AMV Hells/Minis vids.

We're all 18 plus and we live in the UK with sensible drinking laws =D
We're gonna go bulk buy our alcohol from costco (yay small *cough* fake buisnesses).
Theres gonna deffinatly be Jager, everything else is up for debate...

i want to give you some advice nothing good comes from heavy drinking trust me i know it's called the experiance of being old.

The trick lies in finding a game formula that keeps the drinking at a rate which is fun but not coma inducing...

The purpose of the bulk buying is that we're cheap, skint students, and theres going to about 15 max of us crammed in my tiny shared house!
Question is how do you get the rate right?

when corn appears everyone do a shot of everclear.

take a sip when ever they use evangelion or family guy ( double if it's a hintai)

chug a beer when they use a Disney sound clip or song

do a shot when they use a monty python sound clip

there is no rate for this type of thing if you don't want to get comatosed drink at a steady rate know your limit and don't get forced to drink more than you can handle.

maybe a good game would to have a drink evrytime a certain character apears.
but you don't realy need a drinking game you could just chat.

With regards to rate you can more or less predict that if you made a rule such as drink when Azumanga Daioh is used you'd get drunk way to quick...
Plus with this sort of thing you always allow people to drink soft drinks if they want to, tis an unwritten rule...

compile a list of the most used animes, put the name of each into a hat, everyone draws from the hat, gets an anime, when it comes on, chug.

and there's three tier of Sip Drink and chug

Sip is when it's common
Drink : when it uncommon not to get drunk, but not ultra rare
Chug: when it only happens once

Take a shot when there is repetition with song or anime (live action as well) in AMV Paradise 5 you'll be brain dead (or seizing) in less than 20 mins.

I'm estimating it will take somewhere around 5 minutes for most folks.
