I think you'll kill the quality more switching programs like that. Not too familiar with vegas, but i can't see it doing the aspect ratio you have now any favors.

If you're switching to a new editor you'd be better off restarting the thing from scratch. If you started it a long time ago, then redoing the entire thing you'll more than likely end up with something different and more than likely better.

Definitely agree.
Draw new footage, new audio.
Then lay in your original work in one of the video tracks to compare as you go.

I just got Vegas a month or so ago, and I have been doing a bit of reworks with it.

One thing that I did run into is that all of my old stuff came from 29.97 stock.
The stuff I work with now (with Vegas) is IVTC'd 24p, so there is a frame difference between the footage.
