They buy YouTube, make it an unfriendly place for AMV creators, butcher the channel layouts, take away friends, butcher the homepage, let view bots run wild, and now you have to sign up for "Google +" to even like a video, and the dislike button has disappeared. I've been trying to stay for what's left of my YouTube friends, and the people I subscribe to, but the YouTube experience has gone from an exciting vacation in Europe to walking across the street to hang out at the 99 cents store where that creepy old hobo exposes himself to you. New YouTube makes me feel dead inside . . D=

It seems they JUST adjusted a few things. I suppose they realized this most recent blatant power grab may have been over doing it. You know they ask for my cell phone # on occasion? I don't even HAVE a cell phone. o.o

I've nearly given up on Youtube at this point with all of it's crazy policies. I'm actually more active on AMV.org now than I ever was before simply due to how Youtube is doing now. Also, regarding your question, I'd say that they're probably a 4 out of 10 when it comes to corruption. Though that's using a scale comparing it to things in the real world, so your opinion may vary.

i think its an universal law that once it becomes popular it turns into ****.i dont hold much community in youtube so i just have the frustration of holes in my video lists 7/10

If a video is too big, try re-encoding it or something. That usually gets the job done for me whenever someone makes a poorly encoded AMV

Only real issue I have ever had with YT is that any one can claim copyright infringement without having to prove they are the right owners. That and that you can't tell who has liked/favorited a video of yours.

Its more bout them being incompetent than corrupt though.

I was wrong she liked it but that is because her boyfriend felt bad about disliking it and then liking it after he complained to him that two people disliked his video and it was him and my sister.

Quit being lazy guts, and yes my computer chews up video in a very fast time if you need help. Youtube is nice at times but it has become a very unfriendly place and while there are many good videos on there, the problem is they are bured under a ton of bad videos. Its an unfriendly place for AMV's and their are better ways to support videos, Youtube does get a lot of action but its far from the best. I have been using Vimeo to upload the Hells being Youtube is starting to be a problem.

Let me clarify what I said earlier about how they adjusted that. For a few hours today, you DID need to sign up to Google + to be able to like videos. They changed that awfully fast, probably since they were flooded with complaints. Now it's back to normal. If they thought they could get away with it, they'd do it again.

Honestly Youtube always was ****, even before Google bought it and quite frankly there isn't much Google could do to make it worse, and besides signing up for Google+ to comment will kill at LEAST half of the moronic and troll comments on Youtube anyways. Besides screwing with the Sites layout is nothing new, Zarx does, dA does it, so what if Google is playing with Youtube's layout? Until I hear the full story from Google, an educated argument, and not some fanatic "Google is a corrupt corporate overlord taking over the internet!" mindset, I'm remaining neutral. So far Google's been pretty damn good, their monumental "privacy settings change" could be simply turned off. Put your pants back on.

The only good thing about youtube is how easy it is to find stuff. It was created for people to share videos, not for shows and ads ads to dominate the front page. It is all about money money money.

It was more than just a "template change", important features like "friends" were removed. YouTube says that subscribing to someone is just as good as adding them as a friend, so friends are not needed. NO. Sometimes I want someone as a YouTube friend, but don't want to go so far as to subscribe to them. Also, Google IS corrupt, they've been making these radical changes since January and have ignored the overwhelming outcry of complaints against them in the blind pursuit of MORE MONEY.

And if you want another example of corruption, YouTube let Lady Gaga keep the old layout for a long time before she was switched to the new design, which she probably did herself since her fans and anti-fans were both upset on how she got to keep the old layout but everyone else was stuck with the new one. Why was she able to keep the old layout for so long in the first place? Money. That's corrupt.
