Well, for better or worse it looks like I've got quite a few submissions in the rough cut. I did see a number of fixes I'd like to make for a final cut given the way they transitioned to a different format, but I guess here's everyone's chance for throwing out content, because I'm not revising anything that is pretty universally hated. I'll list as many of my entries as I can remember and let everyone voice on this thread for about a week before going back to salvage what I can. New Years = New Vids.

Oh, and a last thing. All my submissions were at the same resolution, but some got stretched to full screen (or thereabout) and some not.

No idea why. I'd kind of like a set aspect ratio/dimensions for my resubmits so I can make sure I'm happy with how they will look on the final product. So, Zarx, if you check these, maybe add that to the opening post on the rough cut thread.

As for the videos you made that I'd like to see revised, I'll get back to you on that. I'll have to look them over again before I can give an informed opinion.

The oldspice stuff might work as transitions. Might try using more than one show with the same character for the oldspice guy.

I liked the one with Gendo talking about making a Starbucks across from the starbucks, all the others -no (unless the talking coffee bean was one of yours, then I liked that one too)

Everything worked except the maggots...the rest I could buy, but the maggots made it look like an obvious edit and kinda ruined it

Could have used "Mystery Science Teatre threeee thouusaaaaand", but I guess robots saying their names is fine.

Legend of Koizumi - Dream is Collapsing

Didn't get the reference, but I liked it simply for the crazy stuff happening to them and the world, keeping in tune to the guys actions

Valkyria Chronicles - Brule's Rules

Terrible Editing at start - could have been funny, but "take your sister" to the prom, with clips of a tied up guy confuses things

Well, it's something to go on, thanks to those who posted.

For the references, some really weren't jokes, just stuff happening to music. To me the best part of an AMV Hell movie is the credits, so I wanted a bunch of source material that SSG could use. Looks like I managed that. As for other things, like I said, I don't want to debate anything, so I won't try to defend a joke that wasn't obvious, but I kind of feel like SSG got it. I wonder if he chose the Austin powers bit at the end specifically because of the Sunred flying head in the finale of my nervbucks/oldspice stuff. That would be pretty cool.

And for fullsize, yeah, after working on some individual projects this summer, I realized the very bad things I did that SSG must've really worked to correct. Until he gave up. Wish I would've been notified that they needed to be fixed, let alone that they would be in the project, but I guess we know now.
