There were large gaps where I kinda lost how the clips followed the mash-up and the transitions, that were left in, were distracting.
I liked it but it would have been nice if it was 5 minutes of spot on timing - the video quality is good though

Regarding the transitions, they came about because I just couldn't the timing to work at 23s without it. Later in the production, I left them in to show the use of continuous sections of AMV Hell (with copious use of velocity splines). It was a calculated risk that I realised could go either way and, in this case, it's proved detrimental.
Sorry if I lost you at points, to be honest, there were parts where I lost myself. Thank you for the criticism, if I do any in future, I'll be more careful about maintaining the narrative.

This premise has peaked my interest so I look forward to watching this! I'll watch it and then write a bashing cleverly disguised as a critique later.
EDIT: Ok I watched it. And here is my bashing cleverly disguised as a critique:
What Fluffykins said.
I'm serious. He nailed word for word my thoughts on this. However I will say that it was a nice effort, and it looked a heckova lot better than most of the crap on this site.

I enjoyed the first few seconds of this. After about a minute not so much but whatever magic was at the start I enjoyed (I think it was me reading the title and me wanting to do something like this myself = the magic but whatever)

I have two ideas for why this is. Firstly, the first 2 minutes were edited as a way to deal with insomnia, the rest was done in the cold light of day (the only reason I'll abandon a project is lack of material). The second possible explanation is that after the first minute the actual song becomes a bit more repetitive (and I realise it's very poor form to blame one's tools) and lends itself less well to comedic themes. Perhaps I should have used the 2012 DJ Earworm mashup. At one stage I was considering using his 2011 mashup (World Go Boom) just with Evangelion source material, because there aren't nearly enough Eva AMVs out there.
