They're all in formats designed for computer playback. avi for the older ones, and mp4 for the more current ones.

Sounds like you must be doing something wrong?
The files I have all match the original ones that were up for download. There was a thread a while back (a year ago?) Where we were checking crcs and stuff for consistency across all the episodes.

Windows movie maker is one of the most inept programs i've ever seen. It constantly crashes, has terrible encoding, and has all sorts of unnecessary bugs that often limit your ability to time out your projects correctly.

THAT SAID...I will always recommend a new editor starts off with the program for the simple fact that it has a very good and friendly interface. A novice editor should really use it until they become good enough to realize just how limited and annoying it actually is. At that point, move on to something better.

A reminder for whenever the torrent is updated that it would be better off having registered trackers that are actually up. Both the openbittorrent and publicbt trackers are out of order, and you can rely on DHT to a certain extent. Adding something like demonii, nyaatorrents, or similar as a tracker would resolve this.

I have went ahead and updated the torrent. If you have the previous one, simply download to the same location and it will just update your files as necessary.
New content included is AMV Minis Challenge, AMV Hell 7, and AMV Hell 7 clean credits.
Additionally, the file "AMV Hell 6 Clean Ending.mp4" has been renamed to "AMV Hell 6.66 Clean Ending.mp4"

Say, first time downloader, but how does one work a torrent download? I got the 60 kb file easy enough... But that's all I managed to get. Newb here, so what do I do after downloading the torrent file? Or did I screw up somewhere? All I did was select "save as..." and directed it to a specific folder on my hard drive.

I just checked and it definitely still has at least a dozen seeds. Download working fine on my end.
Maybe try updating your BitTorrent client? Don't expect it to finish blazing fast though, it is over 10GB in total.

I'd update uTorrent. I will also start my Seeding again since I have fiber-optic interwebs I'll allow the Upload speed of the AMV Hell batch Torrent to be unlimited.

EDIT: I just downloaded the whole Torrent in less than a hour and am now Seeding as well as 14 other peeps.

I downloaded the torrent from the official link and couldn't make it work with qBittorrent 4.1.1. It wouldn't show me anything but "stalled" with 0 seeds.

I saw in this thread that there are apparently 12+ seeds. I'm in the Nashville area, so I tried downloading from Toronto with VPN, but again no dice.

Next, I downgraded to qBittorrent 3.3.3, since a forum thread on another site said that can fix this issue. Still nothing.

Finally, I checked TPB out of desperation, and there is a mirror of this torrent with 2 seeds. I opened the magnet, and those seeds merged with the official tracker that was already in qBittorrent.

It worked! I've been going for about 15 minutes, and torrent's at 30% with 2(2) seeds.
