So I went off on my own, and slapped the Rough Cut and the 6.66 release together, side-by-side, in the same video file. Rough Cut on the left, 6.66 on the right with matching audio channels. That is, Rough Cut's audio comes out the left speaker, and 6.66 out the right. I then took this file, and uploaded it to YouTube.

And thus it begins. Please note, quality's gonna be low for a bit. But you can get a feel for how the finished, 1080p product will look. Once YouTube finishes processing it. Also, YouTube's already blocked it in Germany.

Anyways, due to limitations either on Sony Vegas' part or my own, I couldn't expand the videos to fill their respective halves of the screen (http://i.imgur.com/2PzNMcn.jpg). I tried, really I did, but Sony Vegas 11's Pan/Crop tool is really, really restrictive. But what I did do was render the whole thing at 1080p. Hopefully this upscale will allow the videos to be viewed with a modicum of decency. Probably. Let's see how the YouTube encoding screws it up.

On another note, I've been watching this on my computer on and off for the past two hours. If you just relax and let your conscious mind fade while watching it, it's really hard to regain any sense of sense or upper thought processes. My head still hurts and I've not watched more then ten or so minutes within the past half hour.

But why Super Sanity?

It's a reference to an old 8-bit Theatre comic, where Fighter says something to the tune of "You'd think having a four way, double elimination duel to the death with yourself would make you insane, but it actually makes you SUPER SANE." Thus, I've equated making and/or watching this video to having a four way, double elimination duel to the death with yourself.

By using some combination of 'Preset', 'Lock Aspect Ratio', 'Size About Center' and under "Source" - 'Maintain Aspect Ratio' and "Stretch to Fill'...You should be able to get what you're looking for.

(Note: You should, leave 'Maintain Aspect Ratio' set to 'Yes' unless you're trying to make something trippy.)

Well, proud to announce that Super Sanity Readmitted is primed and ready to render. Like to thank That'sNotMyName_studio. His comment helped me remake the video in the way I had originally envisioned. I'm not sure how long it'll take to render, as I'm again rendering it at 1080p to make up for the fact it's two videos side by side, but with due luck it'll finish by the time I get back from work. From there I'll toss it into my DropBox and post a link here, since YouTube will just mute it again if I upload it.

Why not render it at 4k?

Because **** You that's why.

Another update.

After numerous, numerous attempts, I finally got it to render properly. As in, with sound. For some reason, it just refused to render with sound. But messing with the settings some in Vegas finally let me render a file that looks and plays like it should.

Of course, my copy of Vegas is wonk, and so the file it outputted is 16 gigs. I doubt you guys want to download something the size of the Witcher 2 with only a thirtieth of the playtime, so I'm running it through Zarx's Gui thing to try and compress it down to something manageable. Depending on the final filesize, I'll toss it into my Dropbox and post the link here. I'll also make a torrent and post that too.

If it seems like the 6.66 version takes up more of the screen that's because it kinda does. The copy of Rough Cut I have isn't the same aspect ratio as 6.66 so when I made it to fit its half of the screen it stretches all weird and looks smaller then it actually is. It's like, letterboxed on all four sides. Kinda strange. Wish there was a 720p copy of Rough Cut but what can ya do. I'll just chalk it up to enhancing the Sanity effect.
