I'm not entirely sure where this should go but I'll just post this here anyway.

I have some soft-subbed videos that I need to convert before I put into windows movie maker (I'm working on getting something better for now though this is all I have) - I use Any video converter to convert the videos, but when I do, it coverts them to hard-subbed videos. Anyone know a fix?

God damnit, I need to get that. A lot of the time I want hardcoded subs (anime on the go? Yuss.) but none of my converters will do that, at least without downloading 30 programs to extract the subs from the video, converting them to the right format for use, etc.

I use WinAVI for when I just want to watch something on my zune, I use FLV to AVI MPEG (bloopity bloopity bloo) Converter when I want something specific (it does more than just flv's) and I use AVS 6 when all of those refuse to convert what I want them to.

I hope that at least helps a bit.

Any video converter is the best program I know of, it downloads youtube videos, converts them, can convert music, and yadda yadda.. all for free.

its just this one problem <_< I'm trying to find a work around without having to download any other programs.

my super is ****ed, mcafee keeps deleteing files in it Dx

Does mcafee pick up files from super for sum reason why is that? is it like treated as a virus or something?

use Virtual Dub and AVISynth in tandem with your editing program.

If you get those, I can walk you through what I do.
