I will put these for now (Just like Dr. Who 4), but we need full versions. Because SOUNDTRACK list is meant to be made of full and clear versions of the tracks. I need those soundtracks to listen to them on my job. AMV Hell is the best way to create an EXTREMELY rare and shuffled playlist.
Personally, i like Reaper Reaper by Nadia Gifford, so i'd like to have a full version anyways.

Okay now we have a half work done. 1-150 is rdy up, only two lines are needed:
103 Afro Samurai Main Theme Black Dynamite Peachwise Pictures
119 Spirited Away Learn Your Rules The Office (Dwight Schrute) Narshial

My personal favorite here is:

I'd still like to see the version the OP was assembling, he was gathering a bunch of high quality versions of the songs while a bunch in nightshiver's are low audio quality, not the same version, or a different song with the same name.

Not that I don't enjoy what you gave us Nightshiver but I still wanna see the other since the OP spent so much time assembling it so far.

Nightshiver

And which one's are "low quality" and "not the right song", according to you? Media information on pretty much all of them are 128 kbit/sec, which is CD quality, and many of them have higher bitrates than that. They sound perfectly fine on my Logitech Z-5500's.

Istarune

I didn't mean to come off sounding unappreciative or anything :( I really appreciate you doing this for the rest of us.

since you asked the ones which I remember off the top of my head were:

Aerosmith dude (looks like a lady) - Lyrics track in the song highly muted
PaRappa the Rapper - This remixed version didn't contain the audio in the song clip
Cosby Pokemon Rap - Wrong Song version, cosby one wasn't used
Particle Man - Different version than the one used in the song clip

That probably doesn't qualify as a bunch really, there were a couple more but I can't grab them off the top of my head. I'll add them if you'd like. I'm filling in what I considered the 'holes' myself anyways, then again I might just be overtly picky in my audio selection.

Nightshiver
10-30-2010, 04:31 AM
The Cosby Pokemon rap is listed wrong in the credits then, becuase it says it was made by Bill Cosby. But, I found the correct version.

I also found the correct version of PaRappa the Rapper. I also found the correct version of Particle Man, and this song is also listed incorrectly in the credits. Most of the problems with wrong song versions I have are actually problems with whoever made the credits list. The correct version of Particle Man is the (Talpa Edition). So tell me any others and I'll fix those as well.

Nightshiver: Since you requested feedback:
"Does Your Mother Know" (18) is 64 kbps and 22 kHz in the set, mono sound (per Winamp).
"Big in Japan" (20) is 112 kpbs, 44 kHz, mono sound.
"God Hand" (46) is eight seconds long; this should be fairly simple, as it was also in AMV Hell 4 as full version if I recall correctly (though I don't know if the relevant soundclip was included in the full song)
"Hair" (153) is zero seconds long, yet 6.43 MB large. Again, using Winamp, dunno why it's unable to play.

Thanks for all of your work as well!

"Big in Japan" (20) is 112 kpbs, 44 kHz, mono sound.

the 44Khz is fine, as that is what all music is sampled to. Movies are the only thing that are sampled at 48Khz. But I did find a better version. Found better version's of all the one's you mentioned. There is nothing wrong with Hair on my end. I'm using VLC and it plays just fine, maybe something wrong with Winamp for you?

As for making a version with "all uber bitrates", I just have this to say: 128Kbit/s is CD quality. Going above that, no one is going to be able to hear a difference if it's 128Kbit or 192 or 320. But I will take a look at your's and compare.

just a list of stuff i noticed, some of it has been mentioned already, but i figured id confirm.

#1 dio: pretty sure it wasnt a live version in amv hell 5... but not a big deal.

#14 broken down piece of junk: gets choppy and staticy at parts.

#41 Not a Tumor, was 3:10 long... but the song goes on till 6:16... 3 solid minutes of nothing.

#44 dude looks like a lady; maybe its just my sound setup or something, but it sounded like the one in amv hell 5 was different.

#46 as mentioned... super short.

#58 three cabelleros; call me crazy, but im pretty sure the one in amv hell 5 was sung by ladies.

#75 as mentioned

#83 we will rock you; seemed like a different version than amv hell 5. maybe im wrong

#147 dayman: different version than is in AMV hell 5.

#148 oh marceline: was really short, is that just all there is to the song? it seemed to just stop in the middle of a line...

#153 hair: didnt work for me at all, gave me error (tried it in windows media player and windows media player classic)

those are just the ones that stuck out on my first time through the play list.

i have a request though; it seems that you are making some adjustments based on feedback, is it possible for you to put up a... welll, patch really. basically just a file that contains the songs that have been changed from the original release.

Thanks for what you have done so far, whether you make any changes or not, it's a pretty wicked play list (once you delete n'sync and a couple others :P)

Ok i know this is just perfectionism, but--

65 Koyaanisqatsi (@ 27:38)

The version used in the soundtrack (largest file in the rar) seems to have a chorus, while the one used in hell 5 just one deep echoing voice.
I think the right version is called:

Koyaanisqatsi [WEA International]

Google for file, it's at beemp3 apparently.
It may just be imaginary, but at a higher bitrate it does give me the feeling it sounds better

128Kbit/s is CD quality.

Are you nuts? WAV is CD quality, 320kbps is somewhere near CD quality and FLAC is 99% CD quality, but 128kbps? You must be kidding me, you must have no ears whatsoever.

no one is going to be able to hear a difference if it's 128Kbit or 192 or 320

Or maybe you're using a pair of $3 headphones, that would explain it. But srsly, I thought the dude who has compiled the soundtracks would be more experienced at this point. And I totally see now why the Hell 4 ost (and I'm guessing the others too) was in such horrible quality. I may sound too harsh but it's just... wrong

That was moderately funny I should say :P

Though, following your logic, do we need the proper video quality then? And why bother downloading b-ray or dvd rips of anime (I assume you do), why not just watch good old 640x480 xvid avi? And why play PS3/Xbox, just buy a NES or smth like that, or just plug the PS3 into a mono-chromic TV (who needs quality?).
I mean it comes with time, you watch anime/movies and you end up appreciating the video quality, you listen to music and you end up appreciating sound quality, I don't mean being a complete hipster audiophile/jerk. Just don't say 128 kbps is CD quality, and the world will be a better place. =D

I'm with you on FLAC. It is absolutely to die for :o however, it's hard as hell to get your hands on FLAC tracks most of the time. The only times I've come across them are when people are compiling Blu-ray translations for anime or when my sound junkie friend transfers some to me.

In that light, I can see how they wouldn't do FLAC for the soundtrack because hunting all the songs down in that quality is most likely impossible. If there was a way though, dear God, yes please.

I never said 128 kbps was CD quality, far from it, but it's really not as bad as audiophiles make it out to be.

ESPECIALLY when it's just AMV Hell. I mean, really, do we need perfect lossless audio when it's a 12 second AMV? Really?

I do believe, though, that less than 128 kbps is totally unacceptable, even for what is just AMV Hell >.>;

Meh, I don't like having those long useless discussions, but if you insist... =P Look, I said nothing about that "12 second amv" you speak of, and I totally don't insist on using FLAC in the clips (which would be really hard especially if you're using a FG clip, which is 87% of all the clips).
What I do mean, is that for a standalone soundtrack, which you're supposed to listen to, 128 kbps is not enough, unless it's "Surfing Bird". At least use 192 kbps. That will be more than enough for 90% people out there.

*edit*
yellowbluebus, I didn't mean to ignore you, I just agree on what you've said.

I, too, would love it if someone was able to reupload the soundtracks.

I am hoping that all the AMV Hell sountrack torrents, specifically AMV Hell 5 can be re-posted as torrents (Megavideo isn't a thing anymore) Anyone even have any links for 5 I can have, incomplete/missing songs or not.

Yes, people. Just keep asking like the 100 people before you have. Surely, that will hurry things along.
