It'd actually be easier to make a list of things I WOULDN'T want to see as an anime. In fact . . let's do that. I want a Fallout anime. I love the storytelling in all three Fallout games, so an anime seems like a good choice for another medium since while you could make a movie out of it, you'd have to cut out all but the main story, and all of the side missions are awesome too. So perhaps you could have an episode for each side mission, with the main story sprinkled out evenly in there.

Oh, and I totally wanna see classic horror movies in an anime like Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Wolf Man. And modern movie monsters too like Freddy, Jason, and Michael Myers.

I love the idea of turning the main Fallout games into an anime, but I don't know how well the Japanese could pull it off when the games center heavily around American themes. I suppose they'd have the help of the Fallout story writers, but I think Fallout would be better left as an American animation project.

I think it's one of those games where it wasn't the gameplay that's main reason it has the following it does. Like with Psychonauts and its humor, Silent Hill 2 and its atmosphere or (for me) Sonic Adventure 2 and its plot. I'm guessing for Portal, it's the writing.

Hmm, one thing I would love to see as anime would have to be the original godzilla movies. Starting from the first godzilla movie (with dark style and nighmarish visuals) it would go through three arcs (Showa, Heisei and finally Mellineum for the savvy) untill it ends a with an (awesome) fusion of Destroy all Monsters and Final Wars where the main Villain (King Ghidorah) get's killed off for real.

Somethings would be change from the source to material to make it a cohesive story, for example being three different Godzilla's (The first one who dies via Oxygen Destroyer(and later becomes Kiryu/Mechagodzilla 3, the second one who dies in G. Vs. Destoroyah/Godzilla 90's, and Jr./Minilla/Godzilla 2000)(The American Godzilla it's own monster called Zilla, and get's curbstomped in Final Wars) to help even out the story, GMK being edited removing Mothra and Ghidorah and replacing them with Manda and Varan, and a few other tweaks to make a cohesive story.

Each arc would have it's cast of human characters which makes since each arc runs like this 1954-1970, 1984-1993, and 1999-2004-present) the first arc would have the biggest cast of characters, the second would have the smallest due to recurring characters, and the Melineums would have the most colorful (Captain Gordon, voiced by Don Fyre, Respect his awesome mustache)

And thats what I'd like to see as an awesome anime :3 Funny, since the old godzilla movies added alot of conventions used in modern day anime today. using a power up to defeat the villain, pulling a new ability out of nowhere, (awesome) hour long battles, and the monster of the week, Weird monsters and so much more. Suprised,this seems to be forgotten ;)

That or an Aliens/Predator anime, chances are it'd be better than the two horrific movies D:

Good blend of action, conspiracy, comedy, etc. Would also love to see a Dune one though that one could be a long one. You'd probably need one Gundam-length season just for the first book. They ARE awesome. The movies (The second one especially) sucked ass, while the comics, The PC and Arcade games and novels are pretty freaking amazing, and could easily be adapted into a short anime.

Also you want to know what else would be awesome? Godzilla. The Anime. Heres what can be done: Take the original Godzilla series, make it all one storyline from 1954 (the first movie) to wherever Final Wars takes place in. Matt Frank's G-Neo series does this awesomely, the designs however vary from fan to fan.

Even Better: Godzilla Vs. Evangelion: The Movie. It ends with them teaming up against an even worse foe *cough**cough*ghidorah*cough**cough*

I'd say a Kill Bill anime, however not based on the movie, but similar to what George Lucas did with Star Wars; End with what should have been the first chapters, perhaps from the perspective of Snake Charmer and Sidewinder, starting from their origins and how the deadly vipers came to be.
Perhaps end with the scene where black mamba find out she's pregnant.

Marvel vs. Capcom (Don't ask where that came from, hell they did Darkstalkers, and I wouldn't be surprised if Stan Lee would go for that.)

The Terminator, perhaps a retelling of it in anime form

Bioshock maybe but if thats done it would probably be done in a similiar fashion to Halo's

Castlevania ( I know I heard rumors about a Dracula's Curse animated film for DVD for sometime back, and they did anime based openings for the DS titles but thats far from it but any would do for me.)

30 Days of Night, yes they started off with the comics, and that adapted into a movie but seeing an anime based on it would be interesting.

Cloverfield, probably based on the manga which is a prequel story.

Actually, most Fantasy novels would be interesting to see as an anime, Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance in particular.

yeah not gonna lie of course the books came first, actually the series was pretty true to them up until the end of the first season/book, after that the series decided to be something different.

of course you were, books petty much never come out of TV series with some minor exceptions but those pretty much only concern graphic novels for series that were pretty much story boarded as such anyway
