(This probably sounds like it's ignorant being that I'm 17, anti-theist, and libertarian, therefore I hate everything, so just a heads up. )

I have to admit that, being an anti-theist, I am very guilty of this. However, there are plenty of religious people (read "republicans") out there to back you guys up, I don't think we're going to have another Hitler for a long time. Besides, the German national socialist party originated as a very small party, obviously they allowed some new political ideas to spring up.

I just don't get why people believe that the government should outlaw everything they don't want people doing. I don't care if the lady next door wants an abortion or if the guy down the street is smoking a doobie, but they do because their god says so? Doesn't make a lick of sense to me.
