What places and bands do AMV makers look, to find there great music?
I really enjoy some of the mixes, I'm just wondering were they find them?

I'm assuming . . most people who make amvs use music they listen to themselves, I don't think they go out looking for it. Before I got interested in making amvs I already had a fairly large collection of songs, so . . yeah.

What jinzo said. There are many songs that fit with animes.

Death Note - Chop Suey
Gurren Lagann - Knights of Cydonia
Welcome to the NHK - There Is Life Outside Your Apartment
Haruhi Suzumiya - She's Just Oblivious
Code Geass - Uprising
FLCL - Can't Get My (Head Around You)

However, AMV Hell's different.

"This is the place where AMVs go to die." -Zarxrax, The History of AMV Hell

"This is the cancer that is killing AMVs." -Old Internet Meme, AMV Hell 4: The Last One

The concept of AMV Hell is to be different from other AMVs. They are short AMV clips that have nearly no relation to the song they're synched to. In short, they resemble "failed projects". Examples would be:

Eiken - Penis Fly Trap
Love Hina - I Believe I Can Fly
Evangelion - Mountain Dew Bohemeian Rhapsody
Grenadier - Dark Chest of Wonders
Azumanga Daioh - Rick James sketch from Dave Chapelle

AMV Hell's purpose was to take an anime & synch it to something completely unrelated & making it work. And it worked, indeed. The reason why Hell 5 wasn't so good was probably because some of the clips strayed away from the purpose AMV Hell was meant to serve.

In short, I've completely moved this thread off topic, didn't I?

And to think the whole rickroll thing was started by a faulty error in a URL.

But seriously, let's try not to get off topic.

sorry.

i guess a good place to get music for making amv's would be to download them from amazon or rip them from c.ds

The one i'm using has no trial or limits. But sometimes it will have some errors & defects.

As for editing software, I use Vegas 8.0 (Pro?). I'm still learning the ropes though.
