Hey Guys,

For those that don't know me, I'm The Shades , and I run a show called Fandom Paradise, where I feature Fan-Made work of all types; Fanart, Fanfiction, AMVs, ect. I Recently made a comeback to videos and i've started with, you guessed it, AMV Hell. I wanted to share the video with you guys so you can enjoy it and spead the word:

Am i missing the point or something? this "grand return" is an equivalent of the mass **** reviews the mediocricy of youtube pukes out on a daily basis.

Anyway, time for some actual critique:

I'd say first and foremost, I'm not overly fond of the idea of reviewing amv stuff in the first place. It seems kinda pointless, as AMV creators (most of the time) aren't professionals, they don't make this stuff for a living, and they don't make money off of it, so any sort of video review is kind of pointless cause you can't hold them to the same standards that you would hold professionals.

That said, you tried, and you did fairly well with the your content. The skits were obnoxious and would have dropped them, but you did a fairly good job describing the AMV Hell series so I will give you that. If someone didn't know what AMV Hell was this video would probably be at least a decent introduction to what they are and what they are about.

Overall, not bad, but the skits hurt it a lot so I'd try to keep those to a minimum.

Yeah, I don't normally use skits like that very often, and even then, it's one short intro. I only went over-the-top cause it was a big comeback video. I can promise future episodes won't go that heavy on the Skits.

Also, I feature Fan Creators for the very reasons you mentioned. I don't review bad ones since, like you said, they aren't professionals, and rarely compare to the pros. But the people I feature are people that could go Pro, since they are really good. Heck, I featured one guy whose World of Warcraft Fan-Art was actually used in the Loading Screens for one of the Expansions (WotLK, if I recall). I've also heard of some AMV Creators using their Skills to go Pro as well, so I know it's worth shocasing them, if for nothing else, but to give them Exposure.

I liked the video overall and felt this explained the series very well. If i have any criticism it would gear toward parts of the video feeling overproduced at times that really didn't do anything for me. As an editor i realize being funny can be a bitch, but those aspects didn't work for me personally.

Probably not too often, since I want to take my time with them. Real Life and all that. I'm thinking once a month, but feature multiple people to make up for it.

Yeah, I'm good at being a host and Broadcaster, but it's obvious acting is not my Strong suit. I still have fun with it, though, so oh well. Glad you enjoyed it, at least.
