AMV Minis Challenge #21: This is what I have to deal with
Entry Period: May 21 - June 03

Alright, this challenge will turn things on its head a little bit. You can only submit a video that was REJECTED from AMV Hell 7. What's more, I want you to choose your rejected video that you feel is your WORST one. During the voting round, voters will be instructed to choose the worst video this time, instead of the best.
Mediocre video creators of the world, I say unto thee, you may have failed at achieving anything of great significance, but you can still go down in infamy!

Please note that entries must still meet the requirements of AMV Minis, namely that they must be under 40 seconds and can't have too adult stuff. Entries may be edited for the purpose of meeting the requirements, but should otherwise be unmodified. This round will only have a 2 week entry period, since no one needs to actually make anything. If one of your videos is still stuck in "maybe" limbo and you need a solid rejection, let me know.

looooooools I know exactly the terrible rejected clip to throw in. I spent a week going "should I submit this...I know it will get rejected.....I should sumbit this......I cant even watch its terrible.

I'm most likely not submitting due to creative differences anyway the two that got rejected weren't really bad I was just lazy, the concept was okay for the first one so it will only be seen as lazy rather then bad.

I don’t get it, Zarx.

Why even open this challenge for entries? Why not simply throw in the rejected clips you’ve already received, picking out one for each editor yourself? Hell, the editors gave you permission to use their clips when they hit the submit button on the AMV Hell 7 entry form to begin with.

Mediocrity is hardly something these challenges have been lacking. We’ve had more than a few entries from previous rounds which garnered zero votes in the popularity poll, and there are rounds full of stinkers like sugar overdose; original audio…

Perhaps you’re looking for a crowning turd clip? Something that will grace the Paradise-like project you may or may not have planned for co-release with Hell 7…

Perhaps the next round will be called: “This is what I’d rather deal with” where the challenge is to use the audio/video of these bad entries and make something better out of them…

Otherwise-

It will be an interesting social experiment.

Well, seems I'm out for this one, since I did not have time to actually put together any clips to be rejected. I did post some ideas that people were going to try though, so maybe one will be in there (though I hope my thoughts stay out of the reject pile). Might work as a cautionary tale to those folks at YouTube and whatnot, tell them that this is what happens every time they post a comment asking about what anime is used in entry no. x, or whenever they expect some "obvious" anime or audio to be used in a challenge, or when they vote for things that really don't have any merit other than "hurr durr, he used this song/anime I like", or (of course) when they dare say blasphemies directed towards Ms. Outrageous and her caretaker.

Zarx, I think this whole idea is about as intelligent as the decision to include adzman’s allegory into 6.66.
We don’t need to glorify or show any kind of acceptance towards bad AMVs more than we already have.
Save us all a little dignity and drop this round. Go with any other idea instead and we’ll forget this ever happened.

Why not have this open to every video we know is bad? I have a few rejected from past videos some I knew weren't up to snuff and some waiting on the next AMV Paradise to launch. I didn't bother with AMV Hell 7 so I have nothing that was sent in nothing accepted nor rejected because I rejected the idea of supporting yet another AMV Hell movie, that said I do like minis, I do like this general idea. I still support AMV Minis and all it stands for. You may have missed the part where I wanted to support this and mentioned the movies different entities, well each movie is a different entities so I guess that doesn't matter.

Point was to help if needed with content already available so he should if there was a need to get more videos in like there usually are. I mean the latest movie wasn't delayed for excessive content amiright? That just said, I didn't learn of the amount of entrees until now. Meaning he shouldn't bother with that request and I should bother asking again.

New question tho, if it is already looking like the longest episode and it is only composed of videos removed from the latest Hell why are submissions not closed? Any content has been submitted already that is possible if not there isn't a need for anymore clips. That submissions still being open is a tease because it is inviting questions like what I asked to pop up.
