So... anyone got ideas for what the credits song should be?
I thought the United State of Pop mashups from hell 5 & 6.66 worked really well, but none of the more recent mashups from DJ Earworm seem like that would go well for the new video.
If anyone knows other mashup artists who cram a lot of songs in, maybe something like that might work. We have used just regular songs for the credit videos in the past too, so that's always an option. Though honestly I want to try to stay away from a full length song, because the copyright infringement makes it much harder to keep the files hosted somewhere like youtube.

Damn it, first thing that popped into my head and now won't leave is the end credits song from Short Circuit 2. Not that I necessarily think it would be appropriate here, it's just the same tune repeated over and over and done more and more jazzy, and it only makes it stick in my head more.

I'll try to think of some ideas once I can get that cleared out.

If you're trying to avoid using the full length of a song, then one idea is to use one regular song, then cut it partway and transiition into a different one, like, say, you start off with something like this:

then transitioning after the first chorus into something like this:

Doesn't have to be those exact samples, but hopefully you get the idea. Then again, speaking from personal experience, the copyright bots that plague youtube will likely flag the entire thing for copyright no matter how small the clips used are, so my mindset is to say **** it and go all out.

Or you can try to use the Fair Use argument, since none of us are making any money off this thing anyway and we're giving proper credit for the material used.

Edit: If you're still looking for mashups, Weird Al Yankovich has several mashup songs, though I'm not sure if that would be too easy to accomplish or not.
