Hey,

This was an AMV that was made by me, but I am really new at making AMVS, so if you could give me some tips on how to improve myself that would be good and if you guys could check out my channel that would also be good ^.^

Hey guy, my suggestion would be to set the video to unlisted instead of private so people can see it then call you a fag or something along those lines.

Okay, website link in the corner is same level as watermark, not unforgivable, but you can do better at finding source material with watermarks.

Thin black bars as well as the lower part of the screen being removed. I ASSUME this is because you got these episodes with hardsubs. So good job trying to cut them out, but, again, you could get better source on the video and not have to worry about subtitles at all.

Start with the mind-freak scene - you should have kept the rest of the AMV going like this, as soon as it get to the long scene of their eyes I had lost interest.

Salutations. It seems you need a bit of assistance from a technical perspective.
Get your footage from BakaBT (bakabt.me)or NyaaTorrents (nyaa.se). After that, read this guide. (http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/avtech31/) It assumes you're going to be using DVDs instead of soft subtitled mkv files, but a lot of its info is still good.

After carefully reading that guide, download this codec (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Ut-Video-Codec-Suite). Next, look at this post (http://www.amvhell.com/showthread.php?26707-The-Lazy-Man-s-Guide-To-AMV-Editing&p=487303#post487303). It gives shortcuts on the process that speed things up and is more relevant to editing with mkvs. Finally, shorten down the template provided to:

FFVideoSource("%fp%", threads = 1)
#ConvertToRGB24

#BilinearResize(1280,720)

If you follow all of these instructions, possess a relatively good computer, and already have a nonlinear editing program installed on your computer such as Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere (the latter of which I recommend over the former), it should work. If you have any further questions, they can more than likely be answered by Google, but feel free to ask us if it doesn't provide the answers you need.

Some of the effects are a bit unessesary and there needs to be better sync with the beat and flow of the song, for example when the guitars at the start are going, everything is pretty still bar the people falling, which doesn't flow too well. Some simple shakes or even some black fades might match it better. Also some of the scenes are far too long and get boring pretty fast

I clicked on the link and the video is still private or has been made private.
Am I missing any thing special?
