Salutations. It seems you need a bit of assistance from a technical perspective.
Get your footage from BakaBT (bakabt.me)or NyaaTorrents (nyaa.se). If you can, get the Blu-Ray version (BDrips) instead of the tv version. Television broadcasts of anime often contain the station watermark and are of a generally lower quality due to the nature of their release. After that, read this guide. (http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/avtech31/) It assumes you're going to be using DVDs instead of soft subtitled mkv files, but a lot of its info is still good. In case you're wondering, "soft subtitled" means you can turn the subs off. The subtitles have been saved as a stream separate from the video, in the form of an .srt or .ass file.
After carefully reading that guide, download this codec (http://www.videohelp.com/tools/Ut-Video-Codec-Suite). Next, look at this post (http://www.amvhell.com/showthread.php?26707-The-Lazy-Man-s-Guide-To-AMV-Editing&p=487303#post487303). It gives shortcuts on the process that speed things up and is more relevant to editing with mkvs. Finally, shorten down the template provided to:
FFVideoSource("%fp%", threads = 1)
#ConvertToRGB24
#BilinearResize(1280,720)
As for actual encoding, export your video as an uncompressed avi from your editing program, then encode it in Zarx264Gui.
If you follow all of these instructions, possess a relatively good computer, and already have a nonlinear editing program installed on your computer such as Sony Vegas or Adobe Premiere (the latter of which I recommend over the former), it should work. If you have any further questions, they can more than likely be answered by Google, but feel free to ask us if it doesn't provide the answers you need.

Well, at least there aren't any subtitles. Meaning i can just focus on the other things.
It's frankly quite...meh.
Nothing daming about it though it treads the ground of a linkin-ball z amv. The quality seems stable and it has some direction. Example: how the two pauses during the song was handled. (not very polished however) It's your first try apparently and as far as those go, no serious gripe except if it can be avoided, don't use rips of the shows that have watermarks.
I actually see some potential here. What if you shortened this up into a promo style video instead of a full blown AMV? Seems like a ton of the footage used was filler and came with little to no pacing.

It's not a bad AMV, per se. Just a rather....meh AMV. I'll admit, that's not much better, but at least it isn't horrendous.
