I'm not aware of how I can host or post the ISO (around 5 GB) or the RAR'd ISO (around 4 GB) in site or service that doesn't have a traffic limit. The bad part about that is I would have to charge per download to pay for the bandwidth usage. I haven't uploaded anything. Well, PM me if anybody has any ideas (besides using snail mail and real DVDs).

split RARs spread across a dozen or so megaupload/mediafire links can work. You can also link straight to the folder with all the split-up files. You wouldn't be able to get it all at once,but you can get one pack at a time (also helps in case one file corrupts or messes up during transfer; better to redownload a 200 MB file than a 4 GB file)

Oh, the Zero AMV Hells will be in a different version. If this works. Both ideas are good. Yahoo tells me I have a 200,000 limit, whatever that means. Let's find out. I'm Already working on a new DVD and BluRay for the AMV Hells + season 1 of the minies. actually its almost done. it will have to be a torrent tho. im sure it will be far to large for me to host it myself like i do all the other amv hells for download.

I agree with using a torrent. It'll be slow to start, but once you have a few seeds (i'll happily share my bandwith, shared AMV Hell 5 to more than a 5:1 upload to download ratio) it'll get going. I don't like it when someone gives me a fistful of rapidshare links and says "here, go nuts," even with all these download managers and firefox addons and whatnot.

That's the link to the ReadMe file. It explains blah, blah, blah. If you donate anything, 50% will go to this website (amvhell.com) somehow. Also, nobody needs to donate anything at all. It's strictly for the damn Yahoo data traffic limit.

The link is at the bottom of the ReadMe file to the RAR files. Also, the PayPal account isn't my e-mail, so just use this Forum to get ahold of me of any problems.

Also, there's a slight chance the files could be corrupt, but I doubt it. Just be patient if you're ISP isn't up to snuff. I have Cox Cable's Internet, and I download 2 GB is 20 minutes (largest file I ever done), so I don't know what everybody else has.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I don't have AMV Hell Mini #11 on here. I usually wait for at least 5 Minis before an update. Also, as soon as that torrent is up and seeding, I'll be updating the disc for the "adult" version.

For the menu missing, I don't have any way to author a menu and retain quality. If I use Toast or iDVD, I get a menu, but then the DVD becomes a true MPEG mess.

Also, why do people always refer to amv hell 1,3,4,5 and such as being family they are not, there just isn't any nudity or strong cursing. But there is still imagery that i can think of that would hardly be family friendly.

Well, depends on your morals and standards per your family. For instance, in my household, I have no problem showing AMV Hell, Family Guy, Robot Chicken, even Weeds to my teenaged family members. We've no objections. It's not like I'm gonna show them La Blue Girl! LOL!

Overall, the content in the AMV Hell series is overall not anything more, in my observations, different than SNL sketches, etc.

Just how I see it.

For the torrent, I haven't received any links to it. I can tell people are still downloading from the Yahoo site I have used.

mcdgt@admin is working on a version with menus, and hopefully either him or me or both will be authoring the Zero version.

Just returned from work... I notice that there is now a menu file for it. I do not have the menu version of the ISO; I would be more than happy to share the non-menu version if this is what is wanted, but I would imagine that the menu version would be preferred.

Got me a thought: If I put the re-encoded MP4s I used to make this disc up on the 'Net somewhere, and let you all download these and make a DVD any which way you all want. Of course I made the DVD the way I want to watch it and wanted to share with you all for almost a year, with revisions of course. This also means I can put the Zero shows up, too. Let me see what's around for just such a purpose.

See if that link works. This is an experiment to upload the files into a ~*free*~ service that hosts the re-encoded video files. I have no clue how to make a DVD menu, and frankly, I don't care to learn, that's all.

Anyways, see if this Mario video can be downloaded and plays properly. I don't see why not. This "box" service puts a 25 MB limit on files, so I'll be making files that're bigger than 24 MB into multiple RAR files, as it's the only way I know how to split files personally. I just want to make sure that is can work first. Let me know.

Also, I will not host a DVD on this box site, as I don't think it would be fair to anybody to download a DVD broken in 24 MB files. A CD maybe (that's REALLY pushing it), but no way on a DVD.

I'm all ears on any other suggestions.

I did try Chrome. It also couldn't find the server at that time. Now Firefox managed to find the server and I've download half the parts. I'll tell you if any of them are corrupted after I finish downloading the last one.

For those who care...

You can mount the ISO file as a virtual CD as well. I tested it with MagicISO and the DVD played as if I'd burned the disc itself.

Of course, burning a DVD and using the sneakernet would be a quicker way to transfer the file at this point...

Pro tip: not enough seeders? Direct download a couple parts, replace the parts in the torrent with the ones you downloaded, then right click-> force re-check, so others torrenting it can get it!

Sorry for being gone. Will be gone a few more days. Had a problem with mini-storage and had to move entire storage unit, all 1,500 or so boxes, from one unit to another across the street.

K.I.S.S. is never a bad choice in something you'll be seeing for a minute at most.
But ideas for flashiness: stills from the videos randomly placed in the background. Those stills animated to be changing, plenty of material for that ;). A "roaming" video showing segments from the videos contained. Perhaps loop one of the ending songs, or all of them, for background music. Stills of avatars of the video makers used as background. Aforementioned made to fade into other avatars of the people making this (hell of a job hunting all those peoples avatars down though).

But I kinda like the barebones version of the current one.

...And on that note, there are 0 seeders for the torrent at the moment :(

I'm working on a MAJOR update to this disc. The Zero episodes WILL NOT be included, as I can't stand these two personally. Sorry. My choice.

I combed the whole ****ing Internet and found as much as I coul. I'm not getting involved with HMV Hell stuff, though. The only video, this time, that can't be used, is AMV Mythos. No sound on any sources. AMV Randomness 1 is still out of sync.

I plan onto adding future stuff as it happens. AMV Blitz has been moved up to right afte the Mario World AMV divider video. If anybody knows any new episodes or etc. to the vids contained, throw a line to me if you want, so I can include it. Once I hit past 18 hrs. on one DVD, I'll have to start making it a DVD DL affair. (I can get between 34 and 36 hours onto one DVD DL.)

Also, since I'm still using VisualHub for the authoring, no menus.

The RAR'd image isn't up for downloading yet. That'll take a week or two. Link will be the same, though.

AMV Hell 1, 2, 3, Deleted Scenes for 3, CE, and 4 have all be re-ecoded from the DVD ISOs from the Perfect Collection.

This is the Mega Disk (name changed on purpose, but like the "Hell" it matters). I intend, at my own cost/expense, to produce 100 copies of this version, and dump it around the City of Las Vegas.
