AMV Minis Challenge #31: 2014
Entry Period: Nov 22 - Dec 19

Just like the 2013 challenge last year, its time to show off some of the great things that 2014 brought us. So for this round, I challenge you to create a video using only sources that were released for the first time during the year 2014. Both video and audio source should both have been released this year. Releases in new regions or in new formats don't count.

Just out of curiosity (and I'm sure someone will ask this eventually regardless...) do remixes count as "new formats" and thusly are disqualified? Or can I still use a 2014 remix of some 1980 song or w/e?

If it doesn't sound exactly like the original and has been somewhat modified, then it should technically be fine. However, please try to adhere to the SPIRIT of the challenge.

I'll keep that in mind while searching for any good ideas.

Please keep in mind that the entire point of the challenges is to make funny-ish videos that people will vote for.

Well gonna have to do some proper research for once.
Only really saw 2 OVAs this year and barely 1 show(should get back to that at some point).
And then music from 2014. Got a bunch of stuff too choose from but implementing them in a funny way? Heh...

Listening to some new songs last night, I found one that I feel will work for an anime that did start in 2013, but ended in 2014, which the chosen episode def aired in 2014. So far, it's the only idea i got xD

Though I agree the first two were terrible and the last two were good, the irony is the first two have more interesting animation for clips and the last two are ugly as hell.

I have a feeling there may be a lot of Akame ga Kill, SAO2, Tokyo Ghoul, JBA and the other uber popular ones that aired. With DRAMAtical Murder and Megakucity Actors, they had a large following, but mostly with people who followed the stuff before it became an anime and they didn't actually take off as much as say Tokyo Ghoul did in terms of 'OMG this is teh best anime evah'
Or I may be wrong and every clip will be using the lesser known animes of this year

Anyway- I didn’t enter anything for this challenge, so that means two things:

Somebody besides SilentChaz is going to win this round! Rejoice!

Well prior to putting the video together, I can't say it with 100% certainty, because maybe I forgot to download one of the files and will find out when I go back through checking all the entries, maybe i disqualified one and forgot about it at the moment I was counting, or something like that. Maybe someone even sent me two versions of a video and I forgot to delete the first one. I'm just providing an estimate in the quickest and laziest way possible, and it might change.
