Everyone seems to have interesting enough reasons for their names.

My name came from two things. When I was young, I hated taking baths. So, my older sister gave me the nickname Stinky. Then whenever I played WoW my character's name was Franki. I wanted a name I could use universally across the internet. So I slapped Stinky and Franki together.

the first its XxFabikunxX: well my name is Fabian but, for some xtrange(really strange) reasons, EVERYBODY (even my classmates...) call me Fabi, and then i add the "kun"

the other username its this one, well again "Fabi" and i add GB, its the abbreviated nickname of my favourite soccer team (im a huge fan of soccer...) (soccer on an anime forum ... wtf??)

There was a thread like this, at least there was back before the hell-site changed providers and the site got over-hauled.

In the old days when console RPGS only let you have 4 character names, I played most of them under the name Giln, which grew into Gilanis, which grew further into Gilanis Greymane. This was a long time ago, I forget the exact series of events but something epic enough happened that I retired that name, and passed into the current name.

Jazn, Jazean, Jazean Greymane, is the successor of the old gaming persona, methods and ideals have changed from the old name, so this was a new start and different outlook.

Technically now-a-days I've actually moved on to another name (Kemystul; it was just a randomly generated name I liked and it's easier to pronounce too...), but I leave this account as Jazean because it is an older persona and has much nostalgia attached to it.

So basically if you see a "Jazean" or more often now "Kemystul" it's probably me.

the only relatively interesting part of my name is the "Xela," but that's just my first name spelled backwards. I had used that since Pokemon Ruby, but obviously I couldn't just use Xela, so I slapped isPWN onto it when I signed up for Xbox Live.

I've used sonicdx36 since I was a kid, because Sonic Adventure DX was one of my favorite games back then. I've also slapped "Namasi" on the end of it, something I still don't know where it came from. One of my friends came up with it, but I liked how it sounded, so whatever. A few times I used "tehsonix," and on "perfect world" I used "Yukikyo," because Yukiko is my favorite female japanese name (venomancers, my favorite class, is female only), but it was taken, so I slipped a y in it.

After searching for a while I realized that the word "Greatest" in Japanese is Zuiichi.

Well for me about 7 or 8 years ago when I started up a Runescape account I had to think of a username, so after debating with myself for the better part of a night I decided that it should begin with the first letter of my name so T (Tristan) and as I was into collecting fossils at the time and the pride of my collection was a Trilobite there was the main bit and finally I just tacked on a neer sound from Buccaneer as I thought it sounded cool. I always get a kick out of people trying to pronounce my name online or whereever I use it (which is pretty much everywhere even offline if I have to use an alias) and the nickname I go by online is Trilo (I don't have an 'offline' nickname). I wanted a different name to start playing cs with and just chose a random word in a dictionary... languish, meaning to lose strength or vigor. Hardly an appropriate name to use when you need to stay in top form. I justified it by saying that I was so good I made others feel as though they had languished. Mine came from when I took Japanese class in high school. After we had learned the basic hiragana system, we were giving Japanese names, that we picked from a list of popular first and last names. Beginning of my second year of Japanese, I decided to change my name since I didn't care much for the one i originally picked. I had picked the name Takayuki Hosokawa, and Hosokawa was a unique last name (no one else in all levels of Japanese classes didnt have that name lol), so when I first joined Youtube, i used that name, plus i slapped 37 on there b/c i like that number for some reason, and thus you get Hosokawa37

Oh mine goes back to when I played Runescape when I was about 12 years old. I had spent about an hour trying to find a goddamn user name that would be useable, to no avail. Then my mind wandered for the briefest of moments, as it usually dose, and thought about a half Hummingbird, half Peanut Butter hybrid animal. Mine came randomly to me one day before I joined youtube.
I wanted a youtube name that expressed the opposite of how I felt about myself, so mattroks101 was born. I stuck the 101 on there because I thought it might make it sound catchy. I was regestering for a name on Xbox live years ago and couldn't use any funny names because apparently if you use the word "titty" you don't get the gamertag you want. Anyways, Xbox Live suggested a bunch of ****ty names and I saw "EvilestDeath" right there the third name down on the very first page.

I was all like "Fate has chosen this for me." then the story gets even more boring. I got the name and decided to use it as one of my many but favorite online persona's. but I've gone by Glory of Llama for about 7 years now because one night in CS:S, the server had on a llama mod (llama is sometimes a by-word for someone who is loud and obnoxious), where the admins would pick an annoying player and turn them into a llama, which just meant they couldn't say anything but llama, their name was llama, until the admins turned em back. At some point though, I had been killing one of the admins pretty regularly and was being none too quiet about it, so he turned me into a llama at first, but in Steam Chat I was like, hey I'm in Glory of War (the server's gaming community) stop it, so instead he turned me into Glory of Llama, and I loved the name so I kept it. The Llama song and llamas with hats have been running jokes with me ever since.

The truth: I'm an aspiring writer and in my freshman year of high school I penned a a couple stories featuring an antagonist named "Antonio Black".
In the rough drafts, he was originally known as "The Assassin" and later "The Man in Black". Due to his style of dress I kept Black in his name but needed a name that sounded somewhat foreign to make him stand out. To this day, Antonio Black remains a character in my work. So... the origins of xIsamuTM. Well, the full name would be xIsamu The Mighty (silent x. ) I created it when i first joined Prodigy waaaay back in like 94 or 95. At first it was IsamuHentaii from a Ranma 1/2 fanfic i was reading at the time ( "8 days a week" by RPG) for little more reason than i just needed a name and it was the first one that came to mind. I was then going to take just Isamu, but the name was taken. Met the person who had the name in the Anime Dojo, and challenged for it. Lost the "fight" (dice roll) so it was xIsamu ( the "x" back in the day was to show you were dead. )
Xena was on TV at the time and one of my favorite characters was Joxer, The Mighty. The name then changed to xIsamuTM. It later became the nickname of a character i was using for a story-go-round, Diego Ichinosuke Montoya. I still use xIsamu when I introduce myself sometimes (very rare is it for people to know my real name, ) or when I register for different forums I give the name Isamu Tiem. Isamu Dyson had very little to do with the name.
TM eventually became a title of sorts, I call my boss "the TM."
