Anyone remember (7-8 years ago) when.........AMV Hell was on indefinite hiatus after releasing AMV Hell 4? Back then, there were a few groups that started up because they wanted to continue the AMV Hell style of compilation video. The groups that I remember were called "Anime Remix" and "AMV Blitz." (They are now defunct, right??)

Back then I was sad because I became interested in AMV Hell right when it stopped.

Anyone here been around long enough to remember that? I recently found the Youtube channel and it's been great catching up on AMV Hell after all these years.


On a side note, I finally rediscovered the compilation video I helped make for Anime Remix back when this all happened. I think for the most part it is decently funny. Check it out of you want to.

Funny thing is, watching the recent AMV Hell minis and challenges, I've noticed that some of the funniest ideas we had back then eventually made it into an AMV Hell video years later by someone completely random. Cool huh!?

Blitz kinda died before the second one even really came out. I think one person had made like 40% of the clips. Think I had 1 clip in each.

Defunct, indeed. I hung around there for a while but didn't contribute to the vid, just shot the **** with DicyDax, Sixkiller, Rydet, etc etc. ::memories::

and to think, now there are so many different versions: AMV Nightmare (the one I'm in), AMV Yume, AMV Asylum, AMV Insomnia, AMV Enfer (french) to name a few

I remember watching Anime Remix very fondly back in like 2010 or something like it. Good times.
