Just curious! (And trying to pass time)

Are there clips you thought of making but didn't. either because it was too late, or you decided you didn't like the idea, or couldn't get the right clips/audio?

I wanted to make a clip of 'Turdy Point Buck' with Princess Mononoke (Eboshi stalking the Great Forest Spirit) but could only get hold of Turdy Point Buck II, which didn't have any lines that would have matched well.

Now I've heard the song "I shot Bambi's Mother" which would have probably worked, but it's too late.

Let's see...I remember I wanted to make a video of Oruchuban Ebichu to Weird Al's "Harvey the Wonder Hamster", until I found that the idea was hardly original and had already been done in AMVs.

I also wanted to use the opening song of Mystery Science Theater 3000, but I had trouble finding appropriate clips - besides, I later found there was an excellent AMV of that song with Evangelion footage.

I was almost to the point of completion on a clip of Menchi in episode 2 of Excel Saga set to Franz Ferdinand's "Take Me Out," but when I let it sit for a while and then looked at the finished product with fresher eyes, I saw it was very clunky and not as well done as my other attempts. I scrapped it, and never really got the drive to remake it.

I was gunna use a clip from naruto movie 3 when he is beating the crap out of the girl on the beach and use the song: Face down.

(In other words, Do you feel like a man when you push her around, do you feel better now, when she falls to the ground)

I made it, but I had no clue how to compress it with divix.

I also accidentally deleted the movie, and the clp.. :'(

I wanted to use Weird Al's "Complicated Song" (yes, I know Weird Al eventually got overused and declared "do not want" status), specifically the verse starting with "I was feeling kind of down, until my girlfriend came around" and ends with "If I knew she was my cousin then we never ever would have dated." Footage would've been from Elfen Lied, Sakura Diaries, and many other anime with cousin-loving that I can't recall off the top of my head. Maybe some Koi Kaze for kicks, although that's siblings and not cousins. Obstacles preventing me from making it:

My computer being out of commission for much of June
My Elfen Lied DVDs being lent-out/MIA
Me having no experience making AMVs :lol:

Heh, I also did one with Menchi, at the end of Ep 26 of Excel Saga--you know, the one where the girl is wearing a collar and singing, and Menchi is translating--with the line from the Love Theme from Attack of the Killer Tomatoes, "Our love will be classy, like Timmy and Lassie."

But I made it after the point when newbies had been asked to stop submitting, and I decided to save it for an Excel Mini Theater I'm working on.

I only managed to come up with one idea this time around. It popped into my head while I was at a friend's house for anime night, and I thought "I'll remember that for later." I didn't write it down, and never could remember what it was. >_<

I REALLY wanted to make a clip of Orochimaru from Naruto to the audio from the Sealab episode "Chupacabra island" where it goes

But I couldnt get Sealab source audio unfortunately.

I'd also planned to do a Ghost in the Shell video to WWE Wrestler Matt Hardy's old entrance of "Version 1 Live for the Moment" using the same gimmick of a Windows AMedia Player displaying "Motoko Facts"

I was going to do Evangelion with "Invisible Touch" with a focus on Rei. It was just going to be the chorus:

and I can just so clearly see the last line with a shot of EVA-01's eyes lighting up and then ripping into EVA-03.

lol one could take all these ideas and make another version of AMV hell. I think AMV hell has become something big in Anime history so if Zarxax really refuses to do an AMV Hell V for a long enough time i think somebody may try to pull another AMV motion picture. problem is how does one do an AMV hell like picture without making it seem like its ripping off of AMV Hell, and do we really care if its a rip off lol. all well just musing at all your ideas :roll:

1. Computer monitor broke on me :(

As for idea, clip from "Full Metal Panic (whole series)", with "Eye of the tiger" by Survivor.
Have the first 30 seconds of the song (You know the start of the song everyone knows about) have Kaname hitting Sousuke every time it plays the * DUM DUM DUM* bit, If you catch me on that, my friends laughed at this idea too

I was thinking about taking some sounds clips from the FPS Doug thing, you know.. the whole BOOM HEADSHOT! thing and combining them with scenes from Code Geass where Euphemia goes nuts and tries to shoot all the japanese.

Once again, Naruto, during the Oorichimaru fights to the beginning of that "Snakes on a Plane" song... had the clip basically done too, had Jiraya lip synced perfectly to "I've had it with these mother f***ing snakes on this mother f***ing plane." but, alas, computer died and I lost the clip.

There were a few others, but I can't remember them right now.

I was gonna use that, then still-frame it and have the Energizer Bunny walking along the bottom. Sadly, however, I couldn't find
A. Video of an energizer bunny commercial I could mask the bunny out of OR
B. A good enough jpeg of the bunny viewed from the side for me to do my own animation in AE.
