I can't log in to my 'halofborg' account on animemusicvideos.org. I have tried the 'email me a link to change password" bit several times - I get no email.

I made a new account to post, but they have to be checked by a moderator.

If anyone here can help me................

I am logged in HERE (on AMVHell) with my normal account.
On animemusicvideos.org I am unable to login to my 'HalOfBorg' account.

I created 'HalOfBorg9999' to post, and am logged in with that, but I want back into my regular account.

My original post Topic says I need help on 'The Org'. I wasn't clear in the post, will fix that.

the only thing i can think of is to ask an admin to change the password on your old account. as long as the ip address used to create your old account and your new account is the same they should believe you're the same person. it kinda depends on how strict and organized the site is on whether or not they would do that for you though

Well, I doubt the IP is the same, we have changed ISPs.

The problem SEEMS to be the email system - which makes sense since I don't get any email notifications (even though I should). Something is broken there.

I tried "I forgot my password' on the new account and I get the email right NOW.

Could someone send them a message for me? None of the profiles or posts have PM links - I assume because the account I am on is so new.

Maybe the notifications go to the "spam" folder, have you checked it?

I check my spam folder routinely, it's never there, and when I tested it with the new account it went to my inbox with no problem.

In the announcements forum on animemusicvideos.org, it notes that the email notifications are currently broken. Using your new account, post in the site help forum explaining what happened.

Thanks, but I have. That account is new, so posts have to be moderated. I assume that is also why I can't see any PM links.

I know the "Forgot my password" email works, because I've tried it on new account. Goes straight to my inbox.

I had the same problem here last year, so I created a new account and lived happily ever after. But I guess on the org an old account means much more.

GloryQuestor took good care of me - reset my password so I'm back where I belong.

Yay and thanks to all who helped.

Well, only about 1/3 fixed. The email thing is still borked (but that's not just my account) and I can't login to the forum site, but at least it's better. My account is still mine.
