I've been bored this Winter Break (:sweatdrop:), so I computed some statistics from season 1 of the AMV Minis. Here's some stats I found out:


Edited TOP 3 anime used:
11.71% of AMV's are from Evangelion (26 AMV's total)
10.59% of AMV's are from Azumanga Daioh (including Minis X1; 23 AMV's total + 0.5 for Hellsing/Azumanga AMV in Minis X2)
2.70% of AMV's are from Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (6 AMV's total)

(Evangelion and Azumanga Daioh as the top 2; I'm sure you guys saw that coming lol)

I will post more stats tomorrow, if you guys are interested and show interest in these stats ^^

63.1% according to my calculations. But its worth to watch entire Minis for a single, but awesome clip. Its better then its 95% unfunny & 5% awesome, rather than 100% average.

I wouldn't say EVERY FG clip sucked. Some worked pretty well.

I'll have to look up the % of clips i thought were not funny/sucked. but i guess I have a couple more stats here for you for today:

There were a total of 222 AMV skits in the Minis
A total of 96 different anime were used (related anime count as one anime, for example, Naruto and Naruto Shippuden count as just one different anime, FMA and FMA:B count as one different anime, etc.)
64 of those anime only had one AMV Minis appearance, such as Karin, KissxSis, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, and Chobits

Even more stats:

17.58% of AMV Minis skits I did not like/thought were not funny/thought were overated [39 skits total] (don't ask me which ones, I will not say)
5 of those I did not care for came from Minis 8 (the most out of all the minis)
1 came from Minis 5 (the least out of all the minis)
and for something random:
0.9% of the AMV Minis skits were made by me

If you guys have suggestions for stats for me to look up, feel free to ask.

Since its now officially Christmas here in Indiana (12:57 a.m. 12/25), and the fact that I prolly won't b on xmas day, here's some more stats:

42.79% of AMVs used music [95]
30.43% of AMVs in AMV Minis X2 used music [7/23]
and 1/2 of AMVs created by me used a song (FMA:Brotherhood, Indestructible - Distrubed)

Again, Merry Christmas everyone, and I will try to get more stats up the day after Christmas (hopefully ^^' )

3/13 AMV Minis did NOT contain Evangelion (2 not including X1) [26 skits]
7/13 AMV Minis did NOT contain Azumanga Daioh skits [23.5 skits, 10.5 skits not including X1]
7/13 AMV Minis did not contain Higurashi skits (6 not including X1) [6 skits total]

Actually I find it pretty amazing that people can keep coming up with new ideas for azumanga and evangelion. You would think that it would have been tapped dry.

yet more stats:

Azumanga had the most AMV's in Minis 1, 2, and X1 (obviously)
Evangelion had the most AMV's in Minis 3, 4, 5, 6, and 9
Gurren Lagann had the most AMV's in Minis 8, and 10
Elfen Lied and Evangelion tied for most AMV's in Minis X2
School Rumble had the most in AMV's in Minis 11
and a 14-way tie in Minis 7 (1 AMV for each anime, 14 anime total)

shows once again about how much evangelion is used a lot. azumanga as well, even though not as much dominance as evangelion.

There were alot of overused jokes seen in the AMV minis, while some were ok to see a 2nd time, alot were just not funny... The worst example was actually what hosokawa37 said... AMV Hell Minis 8 had just as many good clips as ideas that have been overdone (no disrespect to the creators of course)... But perhaps just as bad (well not as bad, but it got very close in one of the amv minis) was the idea of how the same anime was used many times over...

I wonder though, what was the percentage of the clips only had the anime seen once? What I mean is this... My clip was from Kenichi: world's strongest disciple, which was only seen once during the first season...

well 64 anime had only one amv appearance; 96 anime total; thats 66.67%(2/3) of all anime!
so, 28.83% of AMV's were of anime that only appeared once in the Minis.

would be glad to see an end to Evangelion, AD, and MOHS appearing in the minis, saw enough of them in the main vids. FG, meh, kinda funny, nice to see American humor invade Japanese animation

33.68% of all AMV's involving music are of rock genre
10.81% of AMV's are of pop/hip-hop/R&B genre
25.26% of all AMV's involving music are of pop/hip-hop/R&B genre

Sorry, I've been busy with stuff, so I haven't had time to fine/post more stats. Well, here are some more:

6.76% of AMV's were made by Tazuto
4.05% of AMV's were made by Ranma, 44.44% of his AMV's were School Rumble AMV's
7.66% of AMV's were made by Doomimus, 64.71% of her AMV's were Azumanga AMV's

I dont think there were any hentai in the Minis.
1.35% of AMV's were made by DXM

11.26& of AMV's were made by scarmullet; 52% of his AMV's were Evangelion, 5.86% of total AMV's in Minis S1, 50% of all Evangelion AMV's in Minis S1

I know this is a bit tangential...and I'm not sure how many people are reading this thread. But I'm curious: how many of the people on this site are women? I can't usually tell from people's usernames, but somehow I got the impression that it was mostly men.
