Submissions have opened back up for AMV Minis season 2.

As previously mentioned, we will be starting out with an episode full of very short clips, 7 seconds or shorter (using songs/music ONLY). Your short entries for this episode will not count towards the 1 entry per week limit.
Entries longer than 7 seconds will be used later on in other episodes.

if a clip is say a second or two longer than 7 second when it is submitted for the special, will it be accepted as is, accepted then cropped, or not accepted at all?

Well the transition is only a few frames, really. I generally only edit the length of a clip with permission.

If you're logged in, you click that link and it will show you your submitted videos. When a decision is made about them, you'll get a reply there.

LOLWTFBBQ, when you submit a video (by filling out this form (http://amvhell.com/misc.php?do=form&fid=1)) a thread containing the information that you provided is created in the "AMV Minis Entries" forum. When Zarxrax accepts, rejects, or refers a video to the judges, he will post a reply to that thread (and only in that thread). All correspondence about a video is conducted in its specific thread. If Zarxrax does not respond to a video within a month of it being posted, you can send him a PM to remind him about it.

It seems that sharebee has been having some kind of trouble getting the videos onto megaupload recently. I don't know what is causing that, but its a big problem for me, because I actually download most of the entries from megaupload. If I were to use the other links, I can only download a few clips per day in a reasonable amount of time.

Those of you who have already submitted videos, if you don't mind, please upload directly to megaupload as well, and put the links in the thread for your entry (don't resubmit your entry, just use the existing thread).

In the meantime, I will be looking into finding a replacement for sharebee. Might just switch straight to megaupload, but I like the idea of having backup options rather than relying on 1 service.

How long to we have? I have a couple things in the works right now but I'm on campus most of the day, so I can't get the AMVs situated as quickly as some people.
Seven seconds? Check. Music only? Check. Anime clips? Half Check.

I don't think that you need to be overly worried about deadlines, Antonio - just because Minis 2-X1 is focusing on clips of seven seconds or less doesn't mean that all clips submitted to future episodes must be eight seconds or over. If you don't finish a clip in time for this video, it can happily be slotted into the next one.

Zarxrax could you edit the first post to reflect this? I only noticed this today, and I think many others won't notice it at all unless its in the original post.

You can submit it... not sure if it will be considered for this particular Minis episode, but if not it would be considered for future episodes....

It might take a while since anyway since it could very well range from 50-150 skits, which i have submitted 8 so far just for that episode. In fact, I have 2 more left to submit, and I do believe I have more ideas to do for that xD

It depends entirely on when Zarxrax has the time to get round to them, which can vary widely. As it says in the "Follow Up" section of the submission rules (http://amvhell.com/showthread.php?t=1404), if your clip has not been responded to after a month, you can send Zarxrax a PM to remind him about it.

I've done the very thing, realized I had rendered them with the audio set low, so I re-renderd them and replied to my posts with a quick explanation and the new link.

To the best of my knowledge, no lives have been lost.
