Eureka Seven:
Okay so we start off with this boy named Renton right? Well he's all new to this area and junk and moves into a new school and the first couple of episodes show him adapting to his new environs, his hobby of liking mecha, and blah blah blah. Well meanwhile there's cut aways to this weird space alien stuff that's never completely explained main point about some legend named the seven going to destroy/save them (by the way there's two factions). Go forward a few episodes and Renton's house is burned down. This makes the school cause this big fuss and they kick him out. Renton is forced to wander around for a while and the episode is all depressing and stuffs but finally he runs into this weird homeless shelter named "Lizard Country" which from what I could tell had nothing to do with anything other than just sounding weird. ANYway he joins them and shows a few more episodes of him learning to fit in and he meets these two girls that kind of attract to him like they usually do in anime. Their names are Erika and Anemone. During these episode Renton is having these weird dreams of turning into like a robot or some such. The audience comes to find out that Erika is a good alien and Anemone is a bad alien. Some cutaways to them describing each of their faction actions and what not. Renton learns that he somehow is the saver and that Erika the good alien was the one that ended up burning his house. Then there's some really sappy episodes of him trying to trust her. She gets imprisoned and he gets kidnapped by Anemone. They escape together then he goes all super and saves the universe. Kind of a bang up conclusion but was still pretty interesting.

A famous anime about a pub called Genesis (whose name is in Neon lights) who is run by a father and his son. Soon an evangeline nun arrives at their doorstep, who cannot remember who she is or where she's from, but all she remembers is her name is "Rei" and that god gave her a special quest.

The father, Gendo, is skeptical as he is an former college proffesor on psychology, who is also an Atheist. His clinically depressed son, Shinji, is more gullible as he trys to help her on her "quest". First they meet a german orphan, Asuka,whose life is taking turns for the worse and attempts suicide, but she is saved through faith. a down and out cop, Misato whose partner was killed in the line of duty and blames herself for it, but finds god to forgive her, and forgive herself. Others meet them and they too are saved through faith. It is then Rei gets shot by a mugger named Keele Lorenze, and later dies. However she reveals beforehand that she is really an angel sent by god to deliver them to salvation before she perishes.


One of the best anime ever in my opinion, delving deep into psychology that few other anime have done.

"One Piece" is an epic story of one dog's adventure to get the last piece of chocolate cake at his master's birthday party. 2 episodes long, the first episode has our dog hero going through many trials to try and obtain the slice of cake, and finally after much slap stick humor and immature jokes he manages to eat the last piece of cake at the end of the episode. The second and final episode includes the dog's funeral after he dies due to the fact chocolate is poisonous to dogs, and his master's suicide brought on by his guilt of being unable to prevent his furry friend's death. They meet in the afterlife and have a good laugh about the whole situation.
