Help! I really want to download AMV Hell 4 onto my iPod, it is choppy and the screen goes white :( . I tried the download on this site, including timmy's alternatives (slightly better) and animemusicvideos.org. Can you tell me where to download a copy that works with iTunes, or please put a download option on google video???

There's a program called "Super" I use that works well. I can take most anything from Youtube and crank it into ipod format in several minutes.

Unfortunately, the MP4 I downloaded didn't take. I'm waiting for google video's free ipod D/L version. That's how I got 1, 2, 3, 0, and CE on mine.

However, I'm not so sure I want this one on my ipod...

If you're on a Mac, iSquint can do the conversion for you.

You can download it here:

I tried converting to iPod with iTunes and QuickTime Player Pro, and the video track is entirely white frames. Then I tried transcoding with VLC, and the audio sync was way the hell off.

I don't know how they managed to create an H.264/AAC MPEG-4 file that only works on VLC, but it looks like they did. >:(

Grab the avi version and try converting it. Apple's software doesn't fully support mpeg-4.

Technically, nobody fully supports MPEG-4, with all its crazy VRML-inspired stuff, but I digress.

That's what I did, and it works just fine. I use this converter:

Apple fully supports MPEG-4, but no portable device (iPod, PSP, etc) supports the full spec - it requires WAY too much processing power. For that matter, what about AMV Hell 4 needs anything beyond what portable devices support? This is ripped clips of DVD's, edited a few times - it's not any quality loss would be noticeable.

What an insanely boneheaded move. Why did you put this in MPEG-4 format and NOT put it in iPod compatible format? What in the hell were you (not) thinking? :o

Talk about asinine... Of course, given the incredible lack of editing in this AMV Hell, maybe it's better that it's the last one...

I tried downloading it off of Google Video (http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6649282149647330032) and the audio synching is way off.

But the .avi technique does seem to work.
