Was I the only one who felt the ending was incredibly anticlimactic/weak? Granted I understand how much work must have gone into the ending for AMV Hell 3, but I was expecting something epic as a going out bang, not a recap of the whole thing put against a (imo) crappy song from a "Hot Topic" band.

Thoughts on AMV Hell 4 itself, great, not quite as good as I was expecting, but still good enough for me to like it as the last one.

I think most people enjoyed the ending credits. I know I did.

I liked them. It was a while before I realized the clips were related to the music instead of just randomly placed, then I had to go back and rewatch.

A couple of my friends said they couldn't watch them all the way through because they hated that band so much, though.

I thought the song ("Welcome to the Black Parade" by My Chemical Romance) was a good one to go out on; though I must admit, it would have had a better impact if the editing were a bit flashier.

It was a risk, going with that song. But, hey! At least it wasn't "Crank dat Soulja Boi!" I wouldn't be defending AMV Hell 4 if Zarxrax had used that one instead.

I dont like My Chemical Romance, but I do like thi sone song by them and the video was good, I especially liked how it was entirely done with redited clips from the project.

It's not so much the song that upset me as the lack of editing or extras. The ending to AMV Hell 3 was done wonderfully, and it used "West Virginia" of all songs.

Okay, now I really don't understand. The ending to AMV Hell 3 seemed just mashed together to me. This ending seemed to have a lot more work. It's one thing to try and grab a clip that works, but it's an entirely different thing to grab a clip that works out of clips that OTHERS chose for you. What can I say except that Z has got talent.

It's hard to say which ending was harder to do, due to the fact that 4 contained all clips shown throughout the project while 3 was just a re-edit of Istiv's (http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_myprofile.php?user_id=27839) Shounen Bushido AMV (http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=38535).

They didn't make the ending credits video for 3, it clearly says that at the end.

I dunno...I liked it...

And I pretty much got all the references and in-jokes...(albeit on a third sitting...latest one being last night after burning to a snug fit on CD-R)

I guess it does help to have been able to room with Brian and Alan at AWA last month... :-)

I agree. Its obvious that the 3 ending was just random characters lip synced to the song. Albeit it was well done. The 4 ending on the other hand, using only clips from the project itself managed to not only look pretty good, but also fit well with the song, so well I wonder if some clips where selected/rejected for the purpose of the ending. Of course that is just speculation by me.

Darthgamer, you guys are missing the point. Hell 3 ending wasn't "random lip synching" that video posted "Istiv's Shounen Bushido AMV." by spookzter 2-3 some odd posts ago IS the ending, however the hell guys just re-edited that video to make the scenes fit with "take me home, country roads"...do you understand now???

Lack of editing? O.o Did you somehow miss all the lip-sync and general sync?

I see now. Still, I am much more impressed with the ending to AMV Hell 4 than I was with 3. Others may call it "less flash and extras", but I call it "streamlined and clean"

There. Now I feel better. ;D

Do you mean MY avatar? Or just avatars in general? I just googled Jigsaw and puppet, saved a pic, cropped and resized, and uploaded it to my profile.

I should have clarified what I meant. When I said "random characters" I was describing the fact that if used characters from many animes as an emphisis that it didn't specifically use only characters that appeared in the main video. The ending credits had nothing to do with the hell video itself. You could have easily tacked it to the end of any other mep. There was nothing about it that made it a "hellish" credit sequence. The hell 4 credits on the other hand is obviously for hell.

That may be one of the strangest compliments I've ever heard. Also, I don't find "Welcome to the Black Parade" to be all that hellish a song. In fact, it was probably the most optimistic song on the album ("House of Wolves", now there was a hellish track!)

Whether or not you like the song, its not one that is notorious for being "stab-your-brain-out" irritating and the video was well constructed around it.

I've never heard much of My Chemical Romance, but Welcome to the Black Parade is now one of my favourite songs to listen to atm.

Loved the ending credits (^^,) I like it a lot more than the AMV Hell 3 end credits.

In my opinion, the ending video was great, even better than the one in AMV Hell 3. But, to be honest, I expected one thing... Osaka's black-and-white bleepbleep at the very end ;)

I hate My Chemical Romance, and that song, especially. But I'm happy to say that after seeing the credits, my opinion of it has stayed exactly the same. :D

It was a very well done sequence, though. However, I would've preferred a 'happier' song, a la AMV Hell 3's 'Country Roads'.
