I would like a user nominated based on being easily contactatable on a whim and with multiple logins within a 24 hour window, nominating a user based on seniority is undesirable its a job not a contest :P another Idea that was brought to my attention was by baka, having more than one user as mod that idea alone can cover cover a 24 hour window.

you realize what i said pretty much bypasses the need to revoke them right xD besides just because someones on alot right now doesnt mean they will be in a couple of months. we need someone whos trustable and we know will stay around for a while. shibs the first person who comes to mind

its like a temp job I could care less how long they do the job just as long as its done. If the person has some sort of extended leave thats fine just get someone else to do it.

Its not to eliminate spam its to have it removed in a timely manner. An example of this is when when a spammer is flooding the forum with threads it pushes an actual users newly created thread off of recent/latest posts and topics. This makes it unable to get views and could result in it getting buried the faster its removed the odds of it being saved increases.
