Following are a side by side of the difference the top is an upscaled 1080 with transform filters attached and the bottom was the original with bilinear filtering as a scaler.

Yea but its one of those size vs quality deals. Is a 1-2GB file that really isnt a "true" 1080 really worth the HDD space? The thing is with up-scalers and filters attatched to a video they either work with you or against you they spawn wierd things under heavily compressed videos. Since all the clips have different qualities and arnt consistent what so ever you'll never know what your gonna get till its done. hell even some of them are interlaced and I haven't a clue why it wasn't removed in the final production. I'll encode a mini here in a few days for a test and let me know if its really worth doing the rest of the lot.

Btw as for a choice of a HD test which mini would you all like to see done?

I started doing a conversion uncompressed before I shove it through h264 compressor for Amv hell minis 3. Hell yea how many of you wanna have this vid uncompressed... Its a lovely 37.4 gigs

well yea its 6 gigs for a full movie when its compressed rather than being uncompressed at 1440x1080 with 8381 bitmaps for frames XD. It wouldent let me export with a h264 compressor and I didnt feel like searching for a way to do so. I had to spit it out uncompressed and shoved it in premiere, when it gets spit out of the compressor it should be roughly 200mb. I might have to toy with it to get a nice compression level cause its not like im working with a "real" 1080 so I dont have to compensate much on quality.

Some clips took advantage of this conversion while others that looked like crap well... Still look like crap. I call this a draft because im not confident that I got the settings the way id like and ****ed up on a few encoder settings, A more proper way of doing this process is to split the clips out and encode each one with their own settings that look good.

I don't have accounts on any other filesharing sites, but filevo (http://filevo.com/free1163.html) has been trustworthy so far. I made these using Encode HD (http://dcunningham.net/media-tools/encodehd/).
I have watched everything except season 2 of minis all the way through on my iPhone 3GS. I have watched bits of each mini in season 2 on my iPhone, and they seem to be fine as well. I haven't made any other portable formats, because I lack the devices to test them. Encode HD does have a ton of formats available, and it seems to work well.
I also have filevo mirrors (http://filevo.com/users/fuzzytipsy/39/AMV%20Hell) of the normal versions as well, if anyone is interested.
